vmware vs hyper v

vmware by far, but I hate windows and hyperv does weird things with networking.

Use case? What do you want todo?

There is always Linux KVM and Proxmox.

How about you ask which is better to drink Pepsi or Coke? That question would be just about as useful as yours.
lol! I was thinking the same thing--like which color is better on HF--red or black? :ROFLMAO:

They both have better uses..
Hyperv is best if you need to use hardware raid that needs drivers.. easier to install them in windows verse ESX
Esx is better memory wise, but let's say you have a hardware failure in the esx machine... is easier/quicker to recover files from hyperv than ESX, at least for me.
I actually run both at my 3 of customers

The memory usege this was the keyword, memory wise, thanks all for the answers.

Hyper-V is good for people that want to "touch" their VMs via a local console.
