It's been a few months since the AMD 6900hs 6800hs mobile cpu release, but I'm not seeing many laptop options.

edit:
See links below, I'm starting to see more options, with some better prices than before.

These look awesome. Just a bit miffed the 6800S can’t push more frames.

Picked up a 6900HX-powered Razer Blade 14 with a 100W RTX 3080 Ti - got it for a steal brand new/sealed from eBay for $2,225. Not a fan of the soldered 16GB RAM, but everything else is fantastic. Truly love this laptop so far. I've heard the horror stories with Razer post-sale so I picked up an extended warranty to hopefully counter that. I will likely be selling by MSI GS66 12700H/3070 Ti - but I like that little guy, too. :)

Holy crap how hot does that thing get when gaming. Mine gets pretty toasty at the keyboard close to the screen.

According to reviews - not very hot. The GS66 does get pretty toasty. The Razer 14 has awesome cooling and AMD over Intel to help with heat. I haven't gamed with the Razer 14, yet. Just got it last night.

the g14 zephyrus 6900hs with Radeon 6700s on bestbuy has dropped to 1399$. Lowest I've seen yet for those who are interested.

Razer 14 2022 / 6900HX / 3080 Ti

I can see why people recommend the RTX 3070 Ti. :ROFLMAO: My GS66 12700H / 3070 Ti only scored a hair lower: 10,056. Compare the results here at this handy link. Bigger laptop, different chassis, yadda yadda - but both 100W GPU versions.

That GPU just isn't that impressive. I'd recommend searching eBay for a while for "12700H" and "3070 Ti" together - you will find some amazing deals for that same price or lower. The market is bombing.

Yeah I was thinking of exchanging. Compared to the 2021 Zephyrus it Includes webcam. Brighter screen. Higher resolution (although I personally think 1080p is already enough for a 14"). From what I've been reading lower response time screen. 1TB ssd so I dont have to upgrade. Bigger touchpad. I can't really tell if the 6700s is an upgrade over the 3060 ti.

I'm still not sure.

Which 14" laptop would you recommend? I need some decent battery life as well (7 hours plus). Looking 1400$ or less.

Dude..it depends. I am now realizing that I am older than I thought (almost 44 years old) because the 14" 1440p screen on the Razer Blade 14 has my eyes hurting after Fortnite sessions (BTW on "Custom" cooling and performance CPU mode the 6900HX maxes out at 98 C and the 3080 Ti maxes out at 74 C - crazy for a little 14incher!). Brutal. The GS66 does not hit me like that (15" 1080p - temps hit 100 C on the 12700H CPU and 3070 Ti GPU gets into high 80s) - so as much as I love the Blade, it may not be the right option (gonna try 1080p on the Blade though). The other side of the coin is I won't be gaming on the road that much. I just have been using it in my living room to test it out. So for the 1-2 hours per night I am on the road it should be worth the size trade-off.

I had a Zephyrus G14 (5900** CPU and 3070) and loved it. Sold it to go Legion 7 Gen 6 (great discounts). Didn't go that route this year because I read mixed things on the G14 and the price, IMO, was pretty dang high for what I'd want (the 6800S minimum).

If I were you - I would troll eBay for 3060 versions of the Razer Blade 14. I truly believe you can score a 2021 or even 2022 model with how the market is going. I have been seeing some crazy discounts when people do auctions and not buy it now (there just doesn't seem to be the bidding market out there for $1,000+ laptops). So if you find something that's an auction take a look at it and watch it over time - you may just be able to snipe a huge score.

Dude check this one out - ends in one hour - https://www.ebay.com/itm/374198996428

Yeah you gotta take some flyers sometimes lol. The protection really works. I emailed the dude too to see what's up.

Frankly - not a bad time to sit it out, too. As always - new CPUs and GPUs en route probably Q2 2023.

Wasn't patient enough. Got the 2022 Asus G14 6900hs radeon 6700s for $1400 from the Bestbuy sale. :p

So.. was using the 2022 G14 for 3 days. 1 windows driver update failure, 2 times that the screen just went black after bootup, and also very poor performance in fortnite. I'm going to return it :p. Back to the hunt.

On the fortnite thing.. seems like some sort of driver problem, other games seemed ok. Lowering the settings significantly and I still see the FPS drop to 30-40 fps often. Found various threads where AMD users complain that a driver update in May broke fortnite performance, not sure if it's related. The previous Gen G14 with 3060 did not have this issue. My wife's Acer Swift with 3050 ti also easily outperforms it. Don't want to bother trying to debug it.

Yeah I’m a big Fortnite guy and even the 6900 XT has issues - DX12 helps but it still isn’t as good as NVIDIA (which performs better under DX11).

Unfortunately I heard about a lot of those problems on best buy.

I think AMD CPU and NVIDIA GPU is the perfect laptop combo. :)
