Halo Infinite

I'm going this route with 120 and I don't notice any issues, either. 60 acts a little choppy for me for some reason. 120 is butter smooth and the visuals look native to me. Whatever tech they're using with automatic scaling = great.
I set 120 minimum, unlimited maximum in game. Externally capped at 138 fps using RTSS as I usual do. I took screenshots with/without the automatic scaling enabled in the first outdoor area and could barely tell a difference. But the performance difference was bordering on pure magic. Really impressive.

...and after having all sorts of issues with the caps this morning, I set my minimum to 120 (100 also worked...but less than that looks a little choppy) and unlimited as a max. It looks and runs pretty great, too.
Go figure. Might've been something running in the background or something.

Finished the main campaign this morning and enjoyed it. Just when I was worried the open world segments were becoming tedious, the game got a lot more direct in its storytelling.

I only played a bit of Halo 4 (and never touched Halo 5), but never felt 'lost' in the story telling.

I also found it entertaining that the big Cortana drama/cliffhanger from the previous games, was basically solved by a 'Fresh Windows Install' of Cortana. And I like to think Master Chief shared the same feeling I have after a fresh install of Windows on my PC. I couldn't understand why the 'big reveal' was a big reveal at all, seemed pretty obvious to me what The Weapon was.

Also, game length felt perfect to me - one of the main issues I have with open world games is keeping engaged with them. This title never overstayed its welcome, nor overly padded its open world content.

Biggest problem with the game is that I doubt I'll be able to play the previous entries again - the grappling hook opens up movement drastically, and I doubt I'll be able to go back to Master Chief's normal walking speed ever again.

Just beat the campaign on Heroic and had less trouble than I did on my Normal run for whatever reason.

How is Legendary? Bet it's rough lol. Here goes nothin..

I've been playing through on Legendary and it's been an exercise in frustration so far. Boss fights have been the worst. All except one have taken me multiple attempts.

Overall still having a good time though. I keep coming back to it, determined to finish :)

This is my personal favorite shooter of the year. Best action game since Doom Eternal. Not a PC GPU benchmark, but if you have any interest in sci-fi shooting and like a challenge this is an awesome campaign!

The encounters can be frustrating but there is satisfaction in overcoming the odds. Once you master all of Chiefs abilities, the encounters are much more survivable.

I've tried to like this, I just...am not that into Halo, I guess. Never really have been.

If I have an unused halo infinite armor skin code and I want to sell it do I have better options than ebay?

Halo Infinite | Season 2 Announce- Lone Wolves

Season 2 launches on May 3rd...

Only buying this game, once there's single player CoOp in the PC version. When is that coming?

Not sure about co-op, but the campaign released on December 8, 2021. Grab it on Steam as it is on sale for $48 (probably cheaper elsewhere).

Edit: Co-op is still missing.

Only reason I'm going to purchase Infinite is once CoOp is available to play together with my son on our PCs.

Developer 343 Industries released a new roadmap and it brings with it the unfortunate news that Halo Infinite‘s campaign co-op will not arrive until August...

343 Industries can only move at one speed: excruciatingly slow

It took them four fucking years to fix The Master Chief Collection originally released on xbox

Given how ambitious this new one is,expect to wait at-least 2-3 years after ;launch before the performance problem and massive missing feature list is reversed!

I'm not surprised at all. I have a feeling it's going to be a really buggy once they actually release it too.
I've been waiting to play it with a friend, I'm glad I didn't buy it yet. It's very hard for me to give 343 any money after MCC. I bought an Xbox One just for MCC a few weeks before it came out. It was so bad I cancelled my Xbox Live Gold account, an account I had since it launched in 2002.

Halo Infinite Season 2: Are the Tech Issues Finally Fixed? PC, Xbox Series S/X Re-Tested!

Halo Infinite campaign co-op will get a public test in July

Halo Infinite is expected to receive its big cooperative play update in August, which will let you roam the open world with a fellow Master Chief...if you're part of the Halo Insider program—or join it ASAP—you may be able to play co-op a whole month earlier, because 343 Industries has announced a test flight for July...

Am I the only guy that doesn’t give 2 shits about campaign? Lol. When I was a lot younger sure, but now, no way.

Jump straight into competitive multiplayer. No time for single player games lol.

Only way I'd buy this game is for the CoOp single player storyline to play together with my son.

But Halo multiplayer? LOL this isn't 2001, deathmatch games are so dated and lame. At least give us multiplayer like a BattleField game, with tons of vehicles, land and air, and objectives and teams of 64 vs 64. But just run around and shoot others, uh no, that got old long ago.

I'm not a big Halo guy, but I'd be interested in buying this game on sale once CoOp mode is out for the PC version.

My son and I are always looking for a new co-op single player game to play together.

I disagree. I'm not interested in the dynamic vehicles add to the mix. Plus, I prefer tighter quarters CQB type encounters. Arena style death match games are where its at for me. It's a shame weapon unlocks, loadouts, vehicles and other bullshit ruin the experience for me.

I find it funny that someone would say Deathmatch is "dated and lame" and then ask for Battlefield which by this point is also "dated and lame". The "new" game type is Battle Royal, or stuff like what Overwatch is doing. Battlefield is well into "get off my lawn" old man dated gameplay by now.

I also still prefer DM or even CTF old school style. Hunt Showdown is interesting as well. But Battlefield, ugh. Old, lame, slow, boring, silly, stupid. Hard pass.

I liked team death match in BF4. I like it in Modern Warfare. I also like the vehicle based Conquest of Battlefield. I hate Battle Royal.

I just don't like Halo because it is bullet spongey and slow. I can do it for the campaign mode but multiplayer just didn't do it for me.

I'd only buy this game for the single player campaign. And I really want CoOp added, then I'll probably get it, after read reviews.

Halo isn't really supposed to be bullet spongey in multiplayer. It sort of is in the casual game modes when everyone playing is "bad" at the game, but when good peope play it isn't bullet spongey at all. It's typically 4 shots for a kill with the BR type weapons, and in competitive 4v4 games it's almost always multiple people shooting at one person who will die in less than a second, and power weapons are used more which will instant kill and there a lot of very quick kill weapon combos, back melee instant kills, sticky grenade kills, etc. Also a lot of the weapons you see used in casuals simply aren't used in competitive. And a lot of the maps in the casual playlists are very big and nearly all the weapons they give you are for close range and barely do anything mid and long range. It kind of promotes nooby bullet spongey gameplay. 343 kinda just sucks at making games.

For me, Halo is special due to its vehicular element, but its arena combat is also on-point.
