Anyone get their Steam Deck ordered?

Sigh, day one, hour one, about 30 minutes after. Still waiting for my 256g email...
Took Steam 5 days to ship mine after my order confirmation. Seems like they're a little backed up! Mine should be here in a few days. A very long few days.

Got my Deck notification, it's on the way.

My order was in minute T-plus seven minutes, and according to my Deck order timestamp, it was processed in T-plus 16.

I didn't get the steam deck but I did buy the onexplayer 1195 version. Really nice machine!

picked up a PiBoy DMG (not for retro but for teensy Dirtywave m8 rom) case a week or so ago.. got my alert for 512GB Steamdeck today. (got in about 25min in on day one)

Same model and time getting in for me oddly enough. Didn't notice the alert till after hours though. Hopefully it doesn't get here while I'm on vacation coming up.

i just got my order email on the 26th and had the same range, so I think your good! Hang in there!

Canceled my pre-order. Got tired of waiting for it so ill get one once they become more widely available. I want to get one, but not badly enough to wait a year and a half for it. Same goes for the PS5 and the 2+ year wait for a normal price.

Steam's estimate was right on. Got to purchase mine on the 26th. Now waiting on shipping. 256gb model.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to hang onto my reservation. I haven't really been gaming and the novelty of having it has waned. My window is between July-September. Dunno if I should cancel or just stick it out and hope that I use the dang thing.

Ordered my 512GB one this morning. Still not sure that I need it but it will be fun to play with.

I use my Android Tablet alot for games. I'm really looking forward to playing real games on the steam deck.

Being 56, I'm spending less time with keyboard & mouse and more time with Steam/media center & joystick. I envision the Steam Deck to be a mini system with all the cool games.

Got mine Sunday (512gb model) and absolutely loving it. Got Epic working on it. Got Final Fantasy 7 Remake working!

Very surprised how well games work at high quality. Framerates in 40-50fps range easily and since I mostly single play on it that's fine for me.

Got a skin off etsy (attached), 400gb SD card and a power passing mini usb-c dock with ethernet so aside from the Deck I've spent a total of about $100.

It definitely won't have all the cool games because some of them are playstation exclusives.

Mine shipped, hopefully it gets here by next Thursday so I can take it on a trip. It will be a good chance to try it out.

Mine shipped Monday and I'm pretty damn excited about it...
It's funny cause I'm pushing into the 'old' demographic but feeling like a kid before xmas right now.

I ordered like 11 minutes in and got my 512 a few weeks ago. Had a Q2 delivery and it shipped on April 26th. Been loving it so far

Mine arrived last night, no pics but I’ll maybe take some tonight although everyone knows what it looks like already.

I didn’t do much besides load up some games but I did play Hades for about 30 minutes. I didn’t hear the fan kick up so I guess it was running in a lower power mode. It played well and was locked at 60 fps.

Tonight I might try monster hunter rise and see how it runs since it isn’t tested yet. Then I might try and add the Epic Game Store and a few other non-steam things.

Comfort wise it feels a bit off, I kept feeling like my fingers couldn’t easily find the triggers without changing my grip. Maybe I’m holding it wrong. It seems like something I can get used to.

For everyone who's feeling a little left behind, Valve just more than doubled Deck production:

I got mine delivered today!!!!!!!!! My email came June 23rd. Felt like I was the last one for Q2. The calculators were pretty accurate. I think it said June 20th so it was pretty close. Any good skins/screen protectors aside from dbrand?

My cousin texted me on tuesday to let me know that his steam deck email came in and that he didn't have the money for it. I immediately called him and gave him my card# to get it for me. I told him when my reservation comes in he can have it if he wants.
He reserved the 256GB 4 hours after I did the 512GB and already got it.

Had I known it had a m.2 slot I would have picked the 64gb, since I will most likely be buying the pm991 1TB and cutting it down to size.

Needless to say... I am super stoked.

I put dbrand skin on mine. It has a nice texture to it. Took me an hour for all pieces. Fitment is almost 100% accurate. Just need a hairdryer for smoothing away any wrinkles around the curves. I was able to remove any trouble spots.

My friend got his a few weeks ago, but he had to RMA it cuz of a faulty left shoulder button. His replacement unit came back last Saturday, but he's been outta town. So he had me run over to his house to pick up the package (it had been sitting out in a thunderstorm all day). He told me to open it and test the unit. Afterwards he said I could keep fucking around with it, use it for whatever I want, until he comes home next week. So I've spent the past several days playing around with the thing, using it as both a game console and a PC, and I'm really impressed with it. Wish it was a wee bit more powerful, but honestly I am having trouble coming up with complaints about the system (not that I don't have any). If Valve ends up making a Steam Deck 2, that could very well be the device for me.

I've wanted a portable PC to use as an HDTV game console for years, but don't have a laptop anywhere near powerful enough, and haven't had the extra cash to build an SFF PC like a fragbox or something. Steam Deck would easily solve that problem. Not only will it be a way for me to play PC games away from home, but thanks to the wealth of emulators it will cover a ton of other systems as well. It would be the ultimate portable gaming machine. As for a handheld system, it's everything I wish the Switch had been, and a whoooole lot more besides. I have a soft-modded DS, 3DS, PSP, I would like to get a PS Vita to mod that, and will probably mod my Switch in the future. But Steam Deck has kinda made all those portable systems obsolete for me. Steam Deck would become the only portable gaming machine I'd need to carry around with me. As a PC, it's way better than my laptop. I already run Manjaro Linux with KDE Plasma 5 on my laptop (along with Win10), so using the Steam Deck as a Linux PC isn't too much different. I don't have a USB hub or a USB A-to-C adapter, so using the thing like a PC is kinda rough right now, but even confined to just what's on the Steam Deck itself, with the on-screen keyboard, and the trackpads for mouse movement + LMB/RMB, it's still quite usable.

Mad props to Valve on this one. I've been very curious about this thing, so many thanks to my friend for letting me screw around with his system for a while. Love the screen, the build quality seems excellent for the most part, and the fan at max rpm doesn't bother me (I had been concerned about that). Haven't tried using gyro or the buttons on the backside (which I find can be accidentally pressed very easily). I've been trying out all kinds of games, from fighters to beat-em-ups to 2D platformers to 3D platformers to FPS games, and more. Been working out great for a wide variety of games. The system is waaaay more comfortable to hold than a Switch. It's also much lighter than I was expecting.

My brother reserved one, and has eagerly been awaiting the email notification letting him know he can proceed with a full purchase. He lives on the other side of the continent and usually comes to visit once a year. He has a laptop but it's not very gaming capable. I don't have a spare desktop PC for him to use when he visits. Steam Deck would solve a lot of his problems. It would give him a gaming PC to use in the airport, on the plane, and while he is visiting. We could actually do some PC multiplayer. Not to mention that like me, he just would like a portable gaming PC in general, to use at his friends' homes and whatnot. He's also a big Linux guy. So needless to say he's very excited about the Steam Deck, especially with all that I've been telling him over the past several days. For the most part, I'm sold on it too.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that my friend's unit is a 256GB model.

Just to give you guys an update. The deck came in this past saturday and my 16 year old son hogged it. I think he put 60 hours into stardew valley on it.
My reservation came in earlier than expected and I was able to order on Monday. Wasn't counting on that hit to the wallet, but now we won't have to share.

Also, my wife ordered me a 1tb pm991 ssd for our anniversary to cut down and put in mine, so i'll be upgrading his 256gb with my 512gb drive.

I just placed my order also. I was originally a "Q2" for the 512GB.

My bro just sent me screenshots that he got a notification through Steam to order his 256GB Steam Deck (first he had seen the email), then confirming his order. Really hope his comes without any issues.

Well shit. I got the email today for the 512, they took my money. I pre-ordered day 1 within first couple of hours. Only what, a year wait?

Got my notification for my 256GB model on Monday, FedEx is delivering it tomorrow.
