NVIDIA announces May 23 Computex 2022 Keynote, the company will present ‘the latest products for gamers’

Only Jensen could announce the 4000 series cards. maybe they gonna announce the 1630 instead

That would be dumb.

Naw they are going to make a big deal about how GPUs are available again and prices are almost MSRP, so better buy, buy, buy!

"Latest products for Miner's" ...Gotcha.
Must be why this guy was returning a box of video cards to Best Buy.

It was funny to hear them admit they have more software developers than hardware engineers. I mean it makes sense given the size of their software scope but it was still funny to hear.

The CMP lineup has been moving well, no joke there. The big mining firms are gobbling them up. Mining at home is during, the current crashes are not working out for most small operators and many even if they get full refunds on the cards didn’t make enough money to pay their electrical bills.

After the two keynotes from AMD and nvidia over the past couple a days. Leads to more speculation on what we will be getting. At least we know the ES 16 core on zen 4 was boosting to 5.5ghz in game, at least we get something rather than nothing on the consumer side....lol.

But how long was it sustained….

I've watched this reveal for a while, doesn't seem like a new GPU is coming??
The phrasing did leave quite the doubt that would have been the case:

Will present how AI is powering the latest product does not seem like perfectly == present a new product

They said that they will present how AI is powering the latest product and that what they did.

Here is the 500 Hz monitor announced. I love how we have somehow started regressing with respect to monitors on PC. Are competitive gamers even buying these monitors? What happened to groundbreaking releases we were seeing a few years ago like the PG32UQX?

https://rog.asus.com/articles/news/...hatters-boundaries-with-its-ultra-fast-panel/

I actually have a PG32UQX and while the panel is nice, the firmware is holy-shit-how-did-this-manage-to-ship bad. I have to hard power cycle it every couple of days in order to get it to switch inputs.

Groundbreaking monitor releases are some kind of running joke in the industry. The game they play is to announce incredible displays at CES along with shipping dates.... but then never actually ship the displays and also take down all mentions that might have been on their website. How many 4K120 monitors have been announced at CES and then actually shipped that year? Or shipped ever? I'd wager it's under 5%.

I mean, those look like RDNA2 cards...are people mining on those?

I can't tell which models though.
RDNA 2 mines better than any LHR card, and has dedicated Linux drivers for dedicated mining rigs.

AMD made it clear that they are not limiting any workloads and simply said their cards aren’t “optimized” for mining work loads but the Linux driver community made short work of that problem.

Oh ok, interesting. I was under the impression they were bad for mining.

Yeah AMD certainly made it sound that way but a 6900XT manages 64 MH/s vs the 3080 LHR’s 48 MH/s, granted the 3080 with no LHR managed up into the 90’s.

But AMD has far more modifiable Linux drivers so you can do a much better job power tuning which makes a pretty big difference on actual profitability.
