Borderlands 3

Reinstalled the game last night, and I forgot how fun it is. Other recent games I have is BF2042 and Destiny 2. And as far as single player run and gun games go, I would say Borderlands 3 is the most fun. Now looking forward to buying for my son, and play CoOp.

Yeah, may have finally found the character I've been searching fo to replace Roland, that killer gun-wielding dog FL4K brings is a nice upgrade!

I started with Moze, and that mech was initially overpowered; but as battles advanced I found myself hoping for something smaller/ more maneuverable!

But thi is definitely the most fun playground to replay a third time1

I paid like 7 bucks or something for BL3 during the last sale/coupon deal....

Played for 30 mins and uninstalled.

Of course I already have this through Humble monthly. Don't know why I bother buying games anymore when they are so often given away for free these days.

I got this back from some AMD bundle giveaway. It's ok... not as good as BL2. The story is bad the primary bad guys are annoying AF. But if you just want to play a looter shooter and ignore the stupid story, it's ok. Especially for free.

its been 3 years since release date - if you haven't already bought it, why does it matter at this point (tons of peoplle play it multiplayer, so why wait this long?)

In other Fuck Epic Megagames news, I've just gotten used to waiting a year for each new Borderlands game (so I can get it fully-patched and half-off on Steam.) Tina is so much stranger than 3, I have no problems waiting until it's twenty bucks

Free on Epic this week
People should be aware that Epic makes it nigh impossible to add DLC to a game that was claimed for free, unless that has changed recently.

BL3 came out on Steam 6 months after Epic, not a year.

It's 8 months, so I just rounded-up to a year

$15 Ultimate on Steam. Pricing error likely.

I'm trying to buy it but steam is completely fucking up for me. I click on Buy it for myself and then it goes to the next page saying sign in but I'm already signed in and the page just keeps flickering and reloading.
Had the same problem. Just logout of your Steam account and go through checkout again. It'll ask you to login.

Good deal as the DLC tends to be more expensive than the base game. But BL3 was given away for free already, so not a huge stretch to see $15 for all the DLC.

Yeah nothing pisses me off more in gaming than when they add DLC and ask just as much for it as they do for a complete game including that DLC. And it's really stupid such as in the case of borderlands 3 when you already thought you bought the complete version of the game and then they come back with a season 2 pass. That is not not rewarding your loyal day one customers at all and in fact it is just pissing on them.

Borderlands Movie to Debut on August 9th, 2024 in Theaters

The film is based on a screenplay by Craig Mazin (who however requested to be credited with the pseudonym of Joe Crombie, a possible hint that Mazin doesn't have a lot of faith in the work) and Cabin Fever's Eli Roth, who directed the production...recently, though, reshoots were reportedly done by Deadpool's Tim Miller...

I'm torn, primarily from expecting their voices to match the games, lot's of cognitive dissonance there, especially Claptrap's voice. And the female actors seem to be trending older (they're all still looking good, but they are visibly older than in the games). Unless it's set in the future from the games, but then not sure that they can hand-wave away the fact that Lilith sacrificed herself to save Pandora. But, like w35t said, Jack Black.

Filming began on April 1, 2021 and finished on June 22nd. I was really hoping we'd have it this year but with the reshoots in January and all the script rewrites I'm steadily losing confidence in it.

The clap trap voice actor was changed for BL3 if I recall. Still, I don't see why the voice actor couldn't reprise their role. It isn't like it requires motion capturing or live acting. It will be interesting to see but BL never had a good story in the first place so luckily there isn't much to screw up.

I'm surprised they got so many A list actors for this...then again Hollywood seems to be big on video game adaptations recently- Monster Hunter, Uncharted etc

Mentioned Gina Gershon and I'm going, "What? They hired an adult entertainment actress?"

Then realized I got the last name spelling wrong...

I love the BL game franchise but this is definitely a "Rental" if you know what I mean for me.

Most movies are. I think this will fall somewhere between bad and passable. I've yet to see a video game adaption be better than "passable".

I just scored the Super Duper Deluxe Edition Steam key of this for $8.25, which is cheaper than the base version that Steam is trying to sell.

Yeah it was through some sketchy site I've never heard of called GAMIVO , but PP FTW!

The base version was free on Epic at one point.
