Warm: EVGA 3080 12 Gb in stock at $1249- $1299

Yeh, I want to step up to the 12 gig. i only have 5 days left but its not worth paying the xtra. I payed 889.00 I would pay a grand and half but not 1299 .00 . I guess I will just keep my 3080. I doubt a price drop is in the future. At least not in within 5 days

This card has been going in and out of stock quite a bit for the last week. In fact the other day it was in stock pretty much from the morning until the evening.

I need it drop another 100 or more before my step up expires.

OOS but I saw them in stock anyway.
I'm sure they went to a good home if EVGA limits one per.

Had one in my cart the day jaccuzz1 posted it, entered my cc info, ready to hit the buy button.... but couldn't do it. I just cant spend that kind of stupid ass money on a gpu. So I spent some stupid ass money on new wheels and tires instead. At least I can excuse that away with the old lady 😉

I'm kind of stuck in a weird predicament that I created for myself. I paid out the rear end for a 3080 TI a few months ago and I'm trying to debate if I want to lose a few hundred now and go with a cheaper card or keep waiting to the fall and lose probably $1,500 as we get closer to next gen cards. I really should have kept my 3070 founders edition that I had paid retail price for. If there was any way it could have had more vram then it would have been perfect for my 1440p needs other than cyberpunk 2077.

Just keep it and enjoy it. Your card won't get any slower just because new ones released. :)

Under $1k before I do it.
I don't know that you will ever get that. I mean the launch price of the 10GB version before the apocalypse was $899, and tariff changes mean about 25% on top of that (So ~$1123). Plus inflation increasing shipping costs at the least. Plus an extra 2 GB of memory. Minus the supposed NVIDIA discounts which likely are due to the decreased cost of GDDR 6x, so I doubt you will get that on top of it. And they AIBs were bitching about the margins to begin with.

Launch price was $699. I got my fancy ftw3 EVGA hybrid 3080 10gb for just $779 and that has an aio cooler attached stock.

Launch price of the fe was $699. Launch price on the most basic model from evga was $699 because nvidia required it and aibs were complaining they were making no money on them at launch which is why they were effectively never available.

The model in question was $809.99 at launch (got the wrong number earlier). The model you claim you got for $779 was $949 as far as i can tell. That was before tariff increases and minus 2gigs of ram and massive inflation.

I paid 809.00 for my first one and 889.00 for my step up. I then sold that one 6 month or so later for 1650 since i do not mine and folks wanted mining cards. I purchased my next one for just under a grand if memory serves and passed up my step up yesterday. I just cannot justify another 400 to move to the 12 gig model.

My associate code is in my sig if anyone wants to use it for an extra discount. I get some evga bucks for it, appreciate anyone that uses it!

It’s worth comparing country of mfg on recent AIB cards to see if they have adjusted and if those savings should be passed on to consumers.

I know for a fact all recent FEs I’ve bought since mid-2021 and this year (3090 and 3080) are made in Taiwan while the 3090 I got April 2021 was made in China.

So Nvidia at least shifted production to Taiwan to get around the tariffs.

Keep an eye on the stock alerts thread. 3080s are dropping under USD $1,000 now.

Ampere GPUs have always been made in Taiwan, but the cards themselves might have been assembled in China since a lot of the smaller components on the board are made there.

Pretty sure the GPU ASICs are made by Samsung in SK for Ampere, only GA100 was made by TSMC.

But typically the country of origin and tariffs are calculated where the final product is assembled, packaged and exported. Tariffs can also be assessed on the raw materials individually.

But the sticker on the box literally changed from Made in China to Made in Taiwan, which I am sure was to avoid the 25% tariffs.

Sob. Evga has one of their 3070ti’s up for $719. I should have waited a few days and saved $110 lol

Was it the same exact model? And believe me it could be much worse I paid over $2,200 for a 3080 TI in December.

The $829 one I bought is clocked 860MHz vs 815MHz on the $719 one. For $110 less I'd take 45MHz less, lol. And Yikes! I was being cheap not wanting to spend $1,300 on a 3070ti just 2-3 months ago, so I still lucked out some I guess.

I got lucky and won an EVGA 3060 Ti in a Newegg shuffle months ago and stepped up to the 3080 Ti for $1460 total cost to me. Beast of a card!
