I feel like they would have announced it already if that were the case. Sony has announced every other PC release months ahead of time.

I agree...I was just repeating the rumors...there was even a date of February 7th 2022 attached to the rumor...I think Tsushima will be coming to PC in 2022, maybe after the Uncharted Collection

Would make sense to spread out the releases a little...maybe announce Ghost of Tsushima when the Uncharted Collection is released.

Yeah, Tushima would make sense as the game to release after Uncharted. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony took a quarterly approach to PC releases

I fully expect Tsushima to get ported to PC. I bet we get an announcement sometime during the summer. The Last of Us 2 might as well. At least after whatever Naughty Dog plans to do with it (multiplayer, DLC, more PS5 updates, etc.). There's also the rumored remake of the first game, so that could be in the cards instead or in addition to it. I enjoyed that game so much I'll happily buy it again.

On the God of War front, I'd recommend playing NG+ while you're still familiar with the mechanics of the game. There isn't much of a refresher, so I've long forgotten how the upgrade system works. Luckily it's a breeze with the gear I had at the end of my first pass. I'm probably 1/4 of the way done and haven't even been in danger yet.

Fighting those damned Valkyries is no joke. Brutal.

That was my memory of the first pass. I was able to beat the normal ones without too much of a struggle (even if some took several attempts), but the last one was absolutely beastly.
You find some better items in NG+, but I dunno if that's going to make a difference in those fights. I've gotten a bit further and one of the armored knights was doing some pretty heavy damage to me...so I'm definitely not invincible.

I think the God of War games have been pretty good about telegraphing the enemy moves and patterns. I struggled with a few of the Valkyrie fights, a few times just putting it down and coming back later, with a fresh mind being able to win far easier than I had when just going full tilt into it. I forget about Atreus and some of his attacks or the summons, which can buy you a lot of time and space.

There are a few (one? two?) fights with the armored knights that reminded me of Halo's Master Chief vs two Hunters.

I'll probably get this game on a summer sale or something, to have in Steam.

I hate those fights. Hate 'em. It's personal. ;)

This was the last game I got a platinum trophy on, and the last trophy I needed was this one... I was ready to call it quits, but something just clicked and I was able to beat the last one, the few hours I put into just that last battle alone couldn't have been good for my heart, I felt my blood pressure shoot way up every time I tried.

I think Dark Souls 3's DLC bosses have (luckily) numbed me to difficult boss fights. Even when something is hard AF, I know that it can't be any worse than Friede, Midir, or Gael.
In most games I find that backing away after a few failed tries tends to yield better results. At least for me. If I keep hammering away, I start getting mad and playing poorly from the start.

I'm really not even that far in, but the game isn't awful once you figure the mechanics out. There's a steep curve in the first few hours because you've got almost no upgrades/abilities, but once you get some more stuff it's really not that bad. Sekiro or dark souls is way harder.

Either way, this is one the best games i've played in a long time. My only complaint with the PC version is that some of the textures could have used a bit more resolution. Max settings @ 4k i'm seeing 7-8GB of VRAM tops, and there are certain objects that just aren't the greatest looking because of how low-res their textures are. However, it still is a great looking game regardless.

No one ever claim it to be a hard game. Outside the Valkyries it is pretty easy.

and gorgeous.
I'm working through the Resistance series, after that, with this game back in the spotlight it's making me want to play the GoW games from the beginning... but I have other games in my backlog that I haven't played.
Decisions, decisions.

Difficulty-wise, I recall some of the Tears bordering on impossibility if you try them too early or sans upgrades. They're timed, so you just aren't doing enough damage + you can die in only a hit or two.
You basically just have to attempt them later. I was able to complete all of 'em by around the halfway point of the game, though.

Experimental Branch– Hotfix available for Out of Memory Errors

some users have been reporting out of memory errors, even on high-end rigs...after digging into the complaints, Sony found that most of the reports were coming from people with new 12th-Gen Intel CPUs with integrated graphics...disabling those integrated graphics was an effective (but obviously not ideal) workaround, but now a hotfix is available in an "experimental" branch on Steam that will hopefully provide a more user-friendly solution...

I've been using kb/m, playing on normal difficulty, and I've had to repeat many fights lol, definitely not easy for me as of yet but still learning the basic mechanics. I'm into it though, runs great on my desktop, ok on my laptop except for large open areas. I've noticed the negative mouse acceleration thing as well and it's really annoying.

I'm tired of Kratos calling his son "Boy" all the time though I tell ya what.

I played for a few hours last night and saw RAM usage hit 20+ GB on my Ryzen system. That's the highest RAM usage I've ever seen on for a game. The only crashes I've had were when I was messing with the ultrawide FOV fix app.

I'm over 30 hours of playtime so far and have loved every second of it.

The game apparently has a known memory leak right now, although i've played for 4+ hours straight and haven't seen any issues with crashing or performance. Only issue i've seen is specifically with the central hub location on the lake of nine with the dwarf inside. On my system the textures in that specific room have trouble loading in/streaming and stay low-res for quite a long time. Everywhere else has been issue free though.

I love the blue dwarf by the way. It's refreshing to have a character in a modern game that tells you to fuck off.

I didn't do all the Valk fights but the one fight that frustrated me the most was the timed elevator fight. Took me several tries on that one.

That's all part of the story. ;)

It's potentially blasphemy but experiment with KBM and controllers everyone.

Haven't played any GOW series games, but after watching Digital Foundry's video on it and how much fun I had playing Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, I will be buying this once I am done with Metro Exodus. Stoked that Xbox controller support is included as I have one of those and would rather use it than KB/M for a console port. I'm in the camp that believes Sony is releasing on PC to stir up interest in current gen PS5 exclusives (HZD and GOW) but I'll take what I can get. Zero chance I am buying a console for exclusives though.

I think games borderline have to include Xbox controller support these days. I play almost everything with a pad and I can't tell you the last time I encountered a game that didn't have Xbox controller support + button prompts and such. Even games that probably shouldn't do.

I won't lie. I am using XB1 controller on PC for this. Just feels right, but I also played it on PS4 a few years ago too, so maybe just use to that experience.

I've had friends talk about how good it was on Playstation since it came out in 2005, so I was really primed to play this. I didn't really know what to expect, but I've been pleasantly surprised— it looks and runs beautifully at 4K Ultra settings. Every now and then I feel it's console origins creeping in , but overall it's been very enjoyable!
