MrBeast Ranks as Highest-Paid YouTube Star Ever, Earning an Estimated $54 Million in 2021

Isn't he supposed to fight Tyson?

I bet he'll tell Tyson to take it easy on him, Tyson is still one scary fighter.
He'd better hope that Tyson gets the memo that this isn't a real bout, but a publicity stunt. Tyson was a caliber of fighter this YouTuber kid can't comprehend, and I've no doubt he still packs a punch.

Maybe the YouTuber can auction his teeth on eBay after the fight to help pay for the medical bills.

Never heard of MrBeast and can see he puts a lot of effort into his videos so I'd hope he make some money back. What surprises me is how much some gals make millions on OnlyFans just for nude versions of their Instagram page.

It's ok, I'm an asshole.

What is the point you are making? Yes 1 billion is 1000 million, it is a magnitude larger jump than going from making 30.000 to 3 million a year. But I think in terms of quality of life going from a regular salary to millions is much more significant. I think my life would change less by going from a millionaire to billionaire, than going from middle class to millionaire.
Thought that was obvious... just hard to fathom a billion dollars and I am pretty sure you knew that if there was an overall point to be made then you knew what it was b/c you repeated it in your second sentence. Basically was writing down a thought I had b/c a billion dollars to most people is an unfathomable amount of money... let-alone even a million. Also I agree with you about the quality of life differences but I wasn't making that sort of a distinction at all in this case.

Red Pilled seems a little misplaced here, from what I recall he told some pretty bad anti-semitic bordering on nazi jokes, and got a brief rebuke for it, but then everyone forgot and it continued as usual. I hadn't realized he had fallen by the wayside (though I never watched his stuff, only heard about him in the tech news)
The Nazi joke incident isn't what I am referring to when I say "red pilled."

I still have no idea what toxic masculinity even is?

Is that skinning a deer
Shooting a rifle
Having a job
Owning a house
Owning land
Laying pavement
Running a sawmill
Plumbing
Construction and heavy labor
Being a cop
Military?
Im clueless
Being ostracized by other men for not conforming to some arbitrary standard of "manliness".

There's a fun finance channel I watch on YouTube. They said you can be in the top 3% of YouTube earners and still only make the median US income. They were trying to make the point that even at the very top of YT you are not making big bucks. What you are doing is creating content for Google to make money.

Point I would make to a young person who wants to be an influencer or YouTube is get a real job because it has a better chance of being there in 10 years.

I deleted my post. Avoiding political stuff I guess. It was a rhetorical question but it was off topic anyways.
It doesn't have to be political, I'm just giving you a straight answer of what the term means. Whether you choose to believe it is up to you.

I'd add an asterisk of sorts: get a 'real' job, but don't be afraid to pursue your YouTube/Instagram/TikTok goals on top of that; just realize that it'll likely be a side hustle at best unless you're particularly good at it.

It's much like acting, really. Many aspiring actors dream of being the A-lister who wins Oscars and could retire off the money from one movie; the reality is that most actors have to be content with bit parts and TV movies, and that they'll likely need a regular job to live a decent life. The big names got there through a combination of talent and, for lack of a better word, luck. It's just that would-be internet stars don't recognize the parallel, or forget that they need more than a smartphone and a YouTube account to achieve stardom.

Man, I couldn't imagine taking a shot from Tyson, even though he's mellowed out some, he's still got that killer instinct. No way in hell I would get in the ring with him.
Tyson had the potential to be the best boxer on the planet for ALL of modern history. His downfall was that crooked dirt bag Don King.

I hate Ryan’s World. That kid gives zero fucks and its just his mom shoving shit in his face and screeching ryAAAAAAAAN over and over....all the while, 2 other forgotten kids can be spotted in the corner.

Its not accepting or rejecting. It leads others to get political and derails everything.

I've heard of 6 out of 10: MrBeast, Jake Paul, Markiplier, Rhett & Link , Dude Perfect, Logan Paul

Only sometimes, occasionally, if I'm really bored and it's about food... do I watch and enjoy Rhett and Link. They do annoy me from time to time though, as they seem to have the taste buds of a garden hose.

I've probably watched a few MrBeast videos, the older ones. The rest I've only heard about in passing, never really watched their content. Markiplier annoys me the most for some reason, although I feel pretty sure he's 100x a better human that the Paul goofs

The funny part was, the only two Youtuber/Streamer celebs I could think of before clicking on this list were PewDiePie and Ninja, and neither of them are on the list.

I mean, I watch some smaller, non celeb Youtube channels on occasion, like The History Guy and Drachinifel's Naval channel, but I don't consider them Youtube Celebs.

That and I've never watched a game stream. With my limited time I prefer to play games myself. I don't think I've ever had enough time on my hands to be bored enough to look up a video of a complete stranger playing a video game.

I watch Drach too. Haven't watched the history guy, but have enjoyed the real time history projects like the Franco-Prussian war that they just finished and the Great War that they did was fantastic. Armchair Historian is another I like.

As for the list, my son loves Unspeakable and Preston. He grew out of Ryan. Another that was a staple at our house was Blippi. He has really capitalized on his youtube success. I actually worked with Steve (Blippi) on a couple of videos several years ago. He was pretty good to work with.

I used to enjoy those goof-offs idiotic food review/stunts by they felt they had to slip in virtue signal political bias instead of sticking to entertaining. Their show producer is a self professing lesbian which the show makes ample point of pointing out and I could care less about except there is no need to keep bringing it up. One time they were asking each other to name their favorite type of literature. She said lesbian and was dead serious.

weird, not at all my experience, but I'm only watching the main channel and only really in the past year or two...

I think 30 million for Rhett and Link is pretty insane. At least Mr. Beast puts on elaborate expensive productions. Rhett and Link sit behind a desk ranking potato chip flavors.

The only youtuber I watch on a consistent basis is Mr. Ballen. I do think Mark Rober should be on the list somewhere though.
Mark Rober is so wickedly cool. His delivery and the obsticle course was amazingly fun to watch. Phat Gus still cracks me up.
