[H] Stock Alerts, Tips & Tears for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, PS5, XBOX

Uh my score was only 94 and I bought a 3080ti for a friend last year.

Just got an email from EVGA for the 12G 3080 ftw so not sure what all the queue 3.0 stuff is about lol.

EVGA Score: 146. Bought my 3090 Hybrid though them, a 3080Ti Hydrocopper as well that I traded to a member.

I feel like I won't be getting a 3080 12GB or 3090Ti no matter how soon I queue up for them. Oh Joy..

How desperate are people getting?

Buddy at work sent me this..

People are overreating because they think "bigger number = gets card first" which is somewhat true. We don't actually know much EVGA weighs the tiers (score) in card disbursement.
I'm not planning on buying anymore 30-series queue cards so hopefully the number is irrelevant to me. By the time I want to buy a card, EVGA will be signing up for my queue to sell ME one.

EVGA score is 0. I haven't bought any cards since 2019 and it doesn't look like I will be buying again before 2029.

If a 3080 Ti is 94 points that means the max GPU-only score (six 3090's) is around 700-800.
That would be a crazy purchase history, so I think the average person is looking at 300-500 max from GPUs. That would be six GPUs averaging $700-$1100.

It comes out to approximately 0.07 points per dollar. I'm assuming Chizow has no forum badges or EVGA bucks. Otherwise, it would be less.

Got a link to that spreadsheet? Forums are showing 404 for me right now, prolly my work vpn.
Despite my ok score of 1536, I signed up pretty late at 7:20 am PST yesterday for the 4877 SKU so there must a ton of leet associates who signed up before me.

7 out of 58 entries are over 1,000 which would be the 88th percentile.
Also people with higher scores are more likely to see and type on the spreadsheet so it's weighted up.

My buddy with EVGA score of 24 just got the 3080 12GB email.

I signed him up for the queue after I signed up myself, no dice for me (evga score:146)

Here is what I get for buying nothing but used and open box GPUs for the last few years!

EVGA Score: 6

WOOO!
I have a 3080 FTW3 registered and have made maybe a couple of forum posts. I have the same score, 6.

ETA: Until yesterday, I didn't know the 12GB model was even a real thing and people are getting notifies already with the queue shutdown?

I’m not even sure I got credit for the 3080 Ti I got for a friend and maybe it didn’t kick me to the end of my tier because I didn’t register it? I let him register for the warranty since it was his card.

I did have some forum badges but I haven’t bought much in the last 3 years from them.

12GB 3080 ordered though, seems like shipping prices are way down as 2nd day air was only $41 WC to EC. Should be here Friday!

The queue was up for about 2 hours yesterday morning. It went up at 9 AM EST.
There was no pre-announcement. The 3080 12 GB was announced by Nvidia (through the press) and released on EVGA's website at the same time.

The only reason I checked EVGA's site is because I saw the announcement.

I am really surprised that people are buying up the 12gb 3080. It is so overpriced!

I agree, but a work friend wanted it and jumped on it immediately. He’s had no luck on shuffle or BB drops.

I already got my two 3090FEs months ago, which are also overpriced but with random 10% off offers from bestbuy, double the VRAM and a pretty badass cooler, I can at least feel better about the cost.

The 3080 12 GB is the same as the 3080 Ti for all intents and they are both 3090 12 GB, all of these cards are limited by power/temp more than core count or bandwidth and that is why they perform almost identically. Even when the 3080/90 originally launched, the consensus was that the 15-20% at max advantage for the 3090 was not enough to sway most gamers, that logic hasn't changed. The market and economy has though.GLTA.

I'm assuming if I haven't bought anything from Newegg in the last year or so doing their shuffle is probably pointless.

I think the Shuffle is a mystery, but I passed on an opportunity to buy and have not been selected for more than 6 months. Someone here who has bought every single time he was selected, has been selected more than 14 times or so. So..., you could still try. Only takes a minute or two to enter and you have a 2-hr window to complete the purchase if you are selected. Good luck!

i would take one and trade my 10gb and some cash if I knew I could slap my water cooler on it.
I can't see why your water block wouldn't fit. My EVGA Vector fits the 3080/3080Ti/3090. Unless they put the extra RAM chip in some random place instead of the empty slot on with all the others, it should fit.

Will hAve to look into it. Wanted the 3080 but not the ti cause of price and the 10gb of ram always bithered me since my 1080ti had 11..

It never hurts to try. It's free to sign up and get rejected daily.

I love getting my "you have not been selected" emails everyday around 7PM EST. It's part of my daily routine now.

This is my only choice although i passed on the newegg 6600xt because felt it wasnt worth it... probably shoukd have just got it

I wouldn’t assume that. I didn’t buy anything from them for the last year or so, then won a shuffle for a 3060, won another for TridentZ RGB 5600 with mobo that I bought and a few others I ended up passing on.

Newegg did end up winning my holiday tech purchases with some killer deals on 2tb 980pros, 12900K for like $100 off and z690 hero for $90 off with those Zip discounts but that was all after I had won a couple of shuffles.

Don’t enter combos you don’t plan to buy though they may have some negative point system.

Yup, I got a score of 0 too, last EVGA card I bought was an 8800 GTX, I got an email for one of the LHR 3060tis but missed the window to order by a day, and decided $600 for a 3060ti wasn't what I wanted to be spending my money on so didn't even bother to see if they'd be nice enough to get me back in.

EVGA score is 0. I haven't bought any cards since 2019 and it doesn't look like I will be buying again before 2029.

I think the toughest thing about the shuffle is the sheer number of other people you are up against. Although yeah, they surely have some "secret sauce" in the background for penalties or bonuses.

For what it's worth, I'm pretty selective anymore on what I enter for, only a couple items per shuffle. I ended up passing on an EVGA 3060Ti/PSU combo in late September, but got selected again for an EVGA 3070Ti/PSU combo in November.

So yeah, do what flotz says. Grab your daily chance and expect to be disappointed. Someday though, maybe you'll be surprised.

EVGA just do some kind of drop? their website just tanked as I attempted to buy a power supply.

Local Microcenter , Sharonville OH, has 6600s and XTs from 449-599 mostly Power Color but they have been staying in stock for days now. Good sign I hope. They also have some 1650s and 1660 supers today.

Edit: Of course 6700s , 6800s and 6900s are there but at the usual mark ups. Its nice to see some gaming GPUs from 210-600 that are actually available to buy.

Series X bundles are in stock at Gamestop. Based on individual product prices at Gamestop right now I would not go for the first one.

$500 + $20 + $35 + $50 = $605 = ripoff

What is gamepass ultimate?

I'm considering this bundle - but really all I want is the Xbox and a controller. I've been playing fortnite with my kid and split screen sucks. I don't play anything else.

In fact, even as I type that I can see I'm better off just finding a local pick up used xbox. However, I'll need to find an Xbox series x - kid has an Xbox One X - and there is an order to things that must be maintained.

Ultimate basically just combines Gold, console Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and cloud gaming all into one subscription.
