Battlefield 2042

I'm 100 hours in and still having fun. Granted this is really the first BF online experience I've ever had so maybe the novelty of it is what's drawing me in. Maybe if I had more expectations from playing the previous ones, I'd have a negative opinion but I'm really enjoying the large scale battles.

I'm not surprised. dice taking a 1 month vacation after one of the worse battlefield releases ever makes my head shake. after some updates people will come back if the game gets better. battlefield doesn't have any competition coming.
They did the same thing with the BF4 release (Unhandled exception at 0x000000007616FA40 in bf4.exe). The devs aren't at fault here, its a continuous fault of management. I don't begrudge anyone on the frontlines, coding in fixes or content, but I have a deep, deep hatred of upper management pushing unreasonable deadlines and another substandard release.

Let the poor schmucks take some time off, they probably deserve it. As for the project managers, directors, and executives, let those fuckers sweat. They did this to the game, it was their call.
I wish we had a list of those fucking bastards, so someone could record their activity on other projects, just to give a score on how bad they did on previous jobs.

I'm all for a reasonable vacation, it is the holidays after all. But they need to get back to fixing this ASAP. If the release was great it would be perfectly okay. As it is they need to be back fixing things. Let them take a month off in the spring.

I think I found the issue at Dice.

Is hate playing for video games a thing, similar to hate watching for TV? If it is, I think this game wins the award for Hate Playing title of the year based on the level of vitriol. I played the original all the way through BF3 but my online shooter days are behind me, so I've been interested in this game more from a vague sense of nostalgia. Sorry for most of you all who actually bought this apparent turkey.

I whish they would fix this game, might get rid of some fools in Apex legends, most players lately seem to think that the intent is to die asap iso staying alive as long as possible.

Lol, yeah I hate it when I que with those clowns. Me and my mate take cover and manoeuvre out of danger. Teammate runs into certain death screaming "suppressing fire!!!!!"
followed by the obligatory "you guys are trash /drops from match". Even more annoying when you convert that into a win that the silly rage quiter gets credit for.

The fact that BFV has been getting a larger playercount on steam tells it all.

Personally, I think EA is going to dump this game hard similar to Anthem. They aren't going to invest the time/money that is needed to fix a lot of low-level issues.

They should just make it free to play and start selling skins for their beloved specialists.

RIP Battlefield as we knew it.

To go with the above, DICE have removed player favorite game mode Rush from the server rotation, while the Dorito Cardinal has deleted the above tweets. Rush can still be played in Portal.

Hilarious that he tweeted that expecting a sympathetic response or believing that people are still giving EA/DICE the benefit of the doubt. I would have loved to have read the responses before he deleted the tweet.

I'm curious what changes they are going to make to the game, should be an interesting month. I've barely touched the game lately, tarkov got me hooked right now but I plan to put another 100 hours in after some quality updates.
