I have been on the EVGA waiting list for months. Finally got an email saying they would hold the card I wanted for 20 hours. I was there in a couple of hours..............Guess what? No card, no response from customer service. I don't think they really want to sell them at the promised price.

Give them time. You know there this thing called the holidays going on atm. They are probably short staffed. EVGA will make it right. They gave people who missed it by a month a card.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's a holiday staffing thing too. I've seen multiple posts on their forums about customers who missed their GPU order window still able to order after contacting support.

I got my 3rd notification last week and the card arrived this morning.
Placed my order around 12 hours after I got the email since I didn't check my email all day.
This is the 6th 30 series card I was able to get this year. 1st one was from a friend, 2 from Best Buy waiting outside all night, and 3 from EVGA Queue.

Will this be like the 3rd card you just put on the shelf and don't use?
lol, no. I sold the hybrid one a few weeks ago and this one is going to a friend of mine who's been trying to get one since launch.
I only have the one 3080 FTW non-LHR and my 3080ti FE for my personal use.

I entered the queue on October of 2020. Still no notification lol

I still have one pending from Sept. 2020. If you put in for something other than the XC3 Ultra or FTW3 Ultra you're never going to get it. If you put in for one of those two versions, you would have had your card months ago.

3rd Notification?! wow... throwing out handjobs to EVGA eh?

I'm on my 4th and have stepped up two of them...<shrug>. The earliest one I put in for is one I never got though...a non-"Ultra" 3080.

I converted all of mine to LHR and then I started getting the notifications.

This is crazy, I haven't got a single notification and I registered 10 months ago...:dead:

Did you ever check your notify time against the database listings on the internet about where they are on their queue?

Well you registered this year. You have a long way to go still. I believe they are not even in December 2020 for most cards.

I don't know that you'll ever see a card from the queue with that late of a date for those cards.

In fairness the four cards that I got from the queue were day one entries for newly released cards (3070, 3060, 3080ti, 3070ti). After I figured out how the queue system worked. I never did get a 3080 or 3090 card from it.

Yeah Im not holding my breath. All I know is, when EVGA sent out notifications to que up two cards to be eligible those are the two I picked.

I really wish they would cut down on how many versions of the same card they have, having 5 different versions of the 3xxx series cards is kind of ridiculous and it makes it very confusing for the customer.

ive been in the EVGA queue for over 1 year on nearly every card from 2060 to 3080, and i have never received the email for a chance to buy one. i have received a bunch of emails letting me know i was being 'upgraded' to an LHR card as the standard cards were no longer available, so i know i am 'in the queue' . out of the 300 newegg shuffles i entered i won 2, 1 was for a $1200 6700xt (no thanks) and 1 for a 499$ 6600 non-XT (that i bought out of sheer desperation).

good luck to all, fight the good fight.

Literally the second time in my life hearing someone say EVGA "screwed" me. Company is literally known for stellar service. I have a feeling you are an outlier when it comes to their customer service outcomes.

In fairness, I think I was one of those people as they basically denied my step up for "reasons" (after I had been approved and had shipped them my card), and then they accidentally shipped the step up anyway and blamed me for cheating them. I guess I should be happy that I was able to get someone on the phone fairly easily so that I could be accused of cheating them?

They are better than most though. One strange anecdote aside, I've had to RMA a couple PSUs and it was no hassle, and I generally prefer them to other vendors. Then again, I actually had a decent Asus motherboard RMA experience also, so maybe I'm just RMA lucky! Sapphire was my absolute worst RMA as they kept sending me broken cards.

Definitely lucky on the asus board. Hopefully the people who paid up for their z690 boards have no trouble RMA'ing with that component fault some of them have.

Same, but I bought a GPU from Amazon almost a year ago now.

I do wonder how much a regular old RTX 3070 is worth now. If it is possible to sell it and upgrade to a "LHR" 3080 I would.

I got on the waiting list for a RTX 3090 a year ago and never got an E-Mail from them. A friend of mine got on the list for one of the factory water cooled cards as soon as they added them to the list. He's never been contacted either and that was more than six months ago.

Out of curiosity, I checked my older notification emails, and you only had 8 hours to place your order after you got the notification email, now you get 20 hours.

This is my queue

the card I got today was the one from 11/10/2020

I'm confused. When my ticket came up I just bought the card through their website (had to use chrome) and didn't need any response from CS. Why were you waiting for a response from CS?

I took your suggestion and vegeta535's suggestion. I have emailed their complaint/customer service and will see what happens. Thank you.
OP is just one of those miserable angry people.
No. OP is only miserable and angry due to being told a card was available, responding in time and then being told no card was available. Try not to assign blame or shame when you don't know me.

I didn't get any notifications from EVGA and it's been over 8 months. Newegg shuffle is also a joke. I've been at it for months. I just gave up.

At this rate I'll wait for the new gen cards to come out.
I've known people who got stuff via the Newegg shuffle. As for EVGA, I never had any communication from them.

If you've only been waiting 8 months in the queue, you got in too late.

I've won the shuffle maybe 5 times for various things. I passed on an overpriced PS5 bundle (already had the games), overpriced 6700XT, and an overpriced 3070Ti bundle (didn't need the motherboard). I bought an unbundled 12900k and an unbundled pseudo-reasonably priced Asus 3060Ti LHR. If you don't enter, you never win. I've had much better luck recently at winning compared to 6 months ago. I've also never gotten EVGA stuff from the shuffle. I think the cards I passed on were Gigabyte. MSI and Gigabyte are almost always bundled with last gen motherboards (expensive Z590 useless boards). Asus usually has an unbundled option along with a last gen motherboard bundle. Zotac has been unbundled, but the prices rival bundle prices and lately, they've been bundling them with MSI stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I think they are treating customers poorly by offloading their dated products in bundles you are forced to take, but if that's your only avenue to pick up a card, might as well keep at it.

Also, my friend lives near a MC and he can regularly walk in and usually find something on the shelf. Nowhere near the mythical "MSRP," but something is usually available.

The first time I entered the shuffle in summer 2021 I asked for an RTX 3060Ti. Got it first time. No combo either. I can't provide more data since I haven't tried since. Got a 3090 and a 3060Ti and I'm good for now and probably at least until next gen comes out.

I got 2 cards from EVGA que and won the shuffle several times for various EVGA cards. Most of them I missed the window to buy from NE tho.

I got in too late? I got in when everybody else was raving about it. Also, I've been entering on both the Que and shuffle. What makes you think I don't enter? I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I said I gave up because every time I enter, play the waiting game and then not get notified in either lottery I take that as I didn't win. So after almost a year ( yeah 8 months), I just got sick of it and just threw in the towel. I'll wait for the next gen cards. I'll bet I'll have a better chance of snaging one of those than I what I'm snagging now, which is a big ass donut. The latest 3 shuffles I got in, I was also rewarded with a bigass donut.

Besides, this isn't about me, it's about the OP.
