[H] Stock Alerts, Tips & Tears for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, PS5, XBOX

Some of us still say it's not worth it. Not everyone has drank the new normal Koolaid.

I know I haven't. I'm not paying that much for 3070. Not many people I know would either, not if its just used for gaming. People who think that all this is the new pricing normal are not thinking about how this will effect PC gaming long term. For example, for AAA console titles that get ported over to PC. Why would they bother if in the near future there are far less PC gamers than there used to be? Man have to dust off those emulation tools. 😁

Here's to hoping that prices get more reasonable next year!

I would love for that to happen but I doubt it. I am getting to the point I may just pay it since I usually milk the life out of my PC. I always plan on upgrading and just end up building new so over the life of the PC the cost is less noticable. Right now I can't play anything since I don't have a GPU I can use to do so, and I am long overdue for a new build. Current PC is 8 years old, and the new Battlefield is the only reason I am considering.

Based off my PC build savings if there was an actual good high end custom builder I would probably consider it just to have something shipped to me ready to go. Unfortunately they still all seem to cut corners or have assembly issues.

Yeah I am lucky in that I don't have any compelling reason right now. If something that is dear to me, like Witcher 3, was releasing I would be where you are. What I decided to do is look at my Steam library. I have been collecting on sale titles for like 12 years. I have 200 games in the library I have never even installed! LOL....So my Evga 1080 has lots of life left in it if I'm going to start playing the back log.

I am seeing RTX cards on craigslist new and used below standard prices. new sealed 3070 ti for 750$ or a 2x used 3070 for under 600 from different people. they insist meeting at police station and everything seems ok but, still feels like a scam due to the price. they are all 1 hour drive in to the city for me so i have not tried yet. anyone else run across something like this? a new scam ?

If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Either that or they five finger discount from someone's home farm, and need to get the cash quick to divi up.

B-Stock.
30 series was a single 3060, 3060 Ti, 3070, and 3080 and 3080 Ti.

edit: 30, 20, and 16's dropped. It's over.

Ya they are ripping people off probably. Nobody sells 3070 ti's for $750 or used 3070's for under $600. Be careful. Ive sold 3070's for easy $900-950 lately and 3060 ti's for easy $750-800.

I just saw a rtx 3080 and 850 watt psu for like $850 on offerup. Nobody in their right mind sells a 3080 bundle for $850.... Literally below msrp. Scams all over the place be careful.

It came out as $918.25 shipped UPS Ground .. maybe I will sale my RX 5700 to cover the cost of an upgrade as the only way to buy high and sell your old to cover it should work out as the Radeon cost me $359 new or sell the RX 570 8Gb ..

Bring a portable rig and power supply so you can test it on the spot, and bring lots of friends that can surround them if they try to take your money and run. Hell I would say even if you bluff saying you have a rig ready to test it they would find a way to balk at allowing you to do it.

Just have them meet at a police station. They will instantly ghost you or try to convince you to meet somewhere else. Honestly don't buy anything that is not sealed and new and make sure you don't let them leave til after you opened it and verify the content.

Well the OP said they are insisting at meeting at a police station. As for new and sealed I agree, but heat shrinking has come a long way and they probably could seal it back up fairly easily. But yeah, too good to be true? So either theft on quick sale, or trying to scam

I always let the buyer open the package after I receive the money before I leave. I expect the same. If they just want to take the money and run then no buy for me.

fwiw I don't think it's a PM. the eagle series are the lower tier GBT cards and usually price at or just above MSRP.

Yep. GB Eagle are kind of outliers, even though they're the lowest end models, in that GB hasn't aggressively jacked price compared to same tier of other AIBs. The Eagle 80Ti is lowest priced 80Ti @ $1199, besides FE. Just hard to find them.

No the thermals aren't as good as the higher end models with beefier heatsink/fans, but they're adequate.

For everyone who doesn't read NerdSpeak:

Verify Loops, Blaming Extensions, and Other Random Tomfoolery.

Bestbuy has been doing its best to prevent you from winning a drop manually as of late (but wont stop the bypass for the bots, kek). So far it looks like a lot of this "verify loop" stuff is server side, they see your account/fingerprint start requesting a bunch of ATC then it ends up saying nope, you must be a bot, or some other bad actor and doesn't let you actually add to cart. This isn't only happening if you use our extension, the same thing will happen if you open multiple tabs on the same product (or different products too?) and hit add to cart even if you don't have the extension installed.

So far, this is how I've been able to confirm wins:

Open a new incognito window (you could probably use firefox and multi account containers plugin) then open the product you want to cart, but don't log in yet (unless its a totaltech drop)

Add the product to cart, once you verify, login and checkout.

If you are logging in from multiple browsers and devices, i believe bestbuy is flagging you temporarily to prevent you from carting. I'm not sure what all of the parameters are that they fingerprint like IP/UserAgent, etc, but we know it's at least account and cookie based so far.

DO NOT SPAM add to cart on multiple tabs with the same cookie session or login, this is going to cause you to loop.

Yep learned this first hand with only two windows and stop using any extensions on BB drops, missed a good PS5 TT drop coz of them, the extensions auto trigger verify loops. All I got after an hour of carting was a SWOLED, TT canceled good riddance.

Got selected for the gigabyte 3060ti/b550 master motherboard. Came out to $860 shipped and should be here Friday. If anyone wants the bundle for cost plus whatever shipping is to you lmk.

Still available.

Where's the best place to get an OLED Nintendo Switch and not get hosed if at all possible at this point?? Looks like the going rate is about $500 Wallymart and Amazon. IIRC these should be about $350? Looking to get one as a xmas present for my youngest son, so should I just take the price rape now or wait?

I saw a couple in the classifieds here, recently.

Otherewise, keep checking BestBuy?----they don't seem to be scalping them.

I saw them in stock at my local Walmart the week after they came out. And saw them in stores again once afterwards. I think Walmart and Best Buy are now limiting their online ones to their subscription only. :-/

But if you don’t absolutely need the OLED model, I’m also still seeing the regular ones in stock almost every time I’m at a store selling them.
