My Mom recently had a stroke and is in the hospital. Going to get her a iPad. Though I am there everyday. It will be a extension of help the iPad but not the only thing of course.

not the small one and whatever capacity you see fit, maybe get a case too. is she having issues holding things or with vision?

Yes problems with holding things mainly shaking though and vision somewhat.

She has parkinson's too I forgot to say. Sorry.

I bought a refurbished 10.5” iPad Pro for my 16 year old nephew who’s a quadriplegic (partial use of hands) with an AppleCare warranty for $5.00/month, so he’s covered for any damages. I put it in a Zugu case, too. Best case you can buy for an iPad.

Presuming the weight of the bigger iPad in a case is not an issue for your mom, then if you haven't already bought one yet get the larger model instead of the new mini which is likely sold out where you are in any event.

I think the Air is the best value vs tech there is.

I have the 12.9 pro and the air 4 and I greatly prefer the air.

The 12.9 is a boat anchor. dont do it to her...
