Halo Infinite

No more delays - let them release this one already and start work on a true next gen Halo (that's only available for Xbox S|X + PC and not Xbox One).

Sorry Man, this isn't The Way at 343

The Way at 343 is to delay the release of this game by another year, ad then take two additional years to ":sorta" fix the crap-heap of a game into something resembling serviceable.

THIS IS THE WAY...of Xbox fanboys who cant recognize that the series has been dead since Bungle Left.

Both Halo 5 and The Master Chief Collection are both currently a mess (and were even worse on release).

I'm happy they're doing free to play for the multiplayer. I wasn't going to buy it because 343 kinda sucks and all of their games have been huge disappointments to me.

But if it's free I'll try it.

Looks better but still underwhelming. I think in part the graphical style is supposed to be flat. Regardless of that, it still looks a bit dated. But things like structures look similar in quality to Death Stranding. DS of course has much more detailed terrian.

Still just looks like a high res Xbox One game. Doesn't look any better than Master Chief Collection.

That's because it is. If they had made this exclusive to current gen, I think they could have pushed the visuals a lot farther. For as long as Microsoft continues to accommodate everything down to the OG Xbox One, their games are going to be behind the technology curve. Flight Simulator is a phenomenal example of what Microsoft can deliver if they focus on PC and current gen consoles. I really hope 2021 is the final year of their support for their legacy hardware.

So the recommended specs are an AMD 8 -core/16 thread CPU?

I'm seriously interested in benchmarks to see if it can utilize all of that!

Apparently I got invited to the MP beta this weekend- has anyone else here participated (in earlier ones, etc.)?

Just got invited and played some bots since multi isn’t live yet but oh my god

Incredible!

Can’t wait for ranked online matches. It feels perfect. The heft of the guns when firing, the hit detection, the sounds. All incredible. Can not wait

Definitely getting more of a 'Halo Meets Farcry' feeling from that video (due to the enemy outposts). Can't say I've been interested in Halo for quite some time, but this title looks interesting. And I'm liking the Master Chief with a jetpack gameplay, if Master Chief can bunny hop downhills to gain speed - we might have a multiplayer winner.

Looks like it could be fun, but I have to say that I'm tired of that stale open world formula that FPS games often use. Some innovation here would be fantastic.

Apart from the floaty Halo physics which I have always disliked, this is looking pretty good.

I would be so hyped if every single 343 game released wasn't a terrible let down.
Ikr? How is there so much hype for this. It got trashed when they showed it a year ago. It doesn't look much better now. Halo was always a over hyped series to me.
