Psychonauts 2 announced, crowdfunding started.

The game is very cool!

got it installed yesterday, and my kids played it all night. Every time I walked by there was something cool on the screen, or something that made me laugh.

It looks like the first one, with major graphical improvements, and even crazier stuff happening. Vague I know, but I’m hoping to play it myself before commenting too much.

Haven’t been able to get my kids off of it though, which is a good sign. They play the first one still to this day.

I have this on the radar for sure. This looks like great fun. The glowing feedback is pouring out. It's hard to believe it's been such a long time since the first game.

I didn't play the original so I don't really know what to expect but the steam reviews are crazy good. I'll probably pick this up but I'm not sure it's the type of game I want to spend $60 on. Do we know how long a playthrough is? Does it have much in the way of replayability?

I played the original when it came out on pc. Loved it. I'm waiting for a few for the same reasons you are though.... Price (I have a good backlog and can wait) and to find out how long or repayable it is.

It’s a single player platform game, with excellent humor, tons of things to collect (if you’re into the 100% thing). If you would replay a Mario game, this would have tgat same value. This is not a Souls game :D

An excellent single player experience doesn’t need above average replay value to be worth full price.

The game (both really) are highly replayable, purely because they’re fun, and funny.

This game has been played more in my house than most games. (Aside from me and the Quake games :D )

Just get it.

I’m glad to hear Double Fine didn’t phone it in. Psychonauts is an all time great game and it would have been a shame to follow it up with something subpar.

The milkman has completed his route.

Wow, i'm only about half way through, but some of the levels and art design in this game are mind blowing. This game deserves a lot more attention then it's getting.
Agree, my first impression is that it kind of looked "dumb" and "for kids", but the clever writing, the art and level design it truly is a gem, I am so glad I did not overlook it. The attention to detail and effort that was put into every single aspect of this game is amazing. Never played a first one, may consider it after this one.

The same can be said about the first one, and due to the art style, looks just as good now as it did originally. It's one of those games that just ages very well. I highly recommend it!
