[H] Stock Alerts, Tips & Tears for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, PS5, XBOX

RED ALERT

I just noticed that I won the newegg shuffle today for a 3060ti combo with 16GB of RAM for $734. I don't need it and selected it today, intending to offer it to someone. A good friend of my doesn't want it (surprisingly). I have to buy it by 2PM.

PM me if you want it and we will work out details. I am not asking for any commission or extra money.

I will try to have it shipped directly to you. But if I cannot, understand I will need you to pay for me to ship it to you.

I only accept Paypal. its your choice which method you want to pay (Friends and family but no buyer protection, or with buyer protection but plus added fees). If you pay for buyer protection, use a fees calculator so that I don't lose money ;)

I don't have heat. But have been a member here since 2005 and have bought and sold several things. Here is my most recent sales thread, where I sold many CPUs, RAM, etc.

https://hardforum.com/threads/fs-only-various-ddr4-sodimm-8gb-ddr3-kit.2009757/

I want this to go to a gamer who needs it. not someone whom wants to try and turn around flip it for more money.

PM me for my paypal email address. Paypal me $734.98 and your shipping address, to get this started.

I'm watching my PM inbox like a hawk right now ;)

sorry about the time crunch!

5950x will be in Newegg's shell shocker on July 29. you have to apply promo code 93XRP35 to get MSRP.

So, if you prefer to buy it on Newegg due to store credit or some other reason, there you go.

The 5950X is in stock at Best Buy. And I looked at my account page and had a 10% coupon for being a card holder. So snagged one for $719!
Is it your birthday month? I think it might be because of that. Cuz I don’t see it under my account even though I am card holder. Just standard reward cash back is the only thing.

Nope. It was a 'Cardholder Appreciation' offer.

Nvm. Saw an email today. “There is still time to use this offer” 10% off expired yesterday. Thanks for reminder Best Buy Rofl. But there is $15 extra in rewards still I could activate in the reminder email lol. Don’t remember the first one.

Seems your friend may have awaken to them pulling lthe privacy curtain before examining him. He probably grew scared of the Gel on the gloves.
Seriously? A $400 card and a $125 ram kit at $735 is a good deal?

I mean, it's in stock so...

Some people are desperate for a GPU, whatchagonnado? /shrug

Ask them to pull the privacy curtain before examining your friend. A bit of Gel on the gloves would also be nice.

if you have a place to buy these for $400, please share the link with us! Otherwise trying the newegg shuffle is one of the few ways to get a card. It's a deal because it's actually available.

While I applaud his generosity at offering the card. It's available therefore you should pay out the a** for a subpar, overpriced combo is partially why these retailers are gouging.

Your feelings on the matter don't change the fact that this is a good deal in today's market. If you insist on 2020 and before levels of pricing, you will be buying nothing for years to come at least. I do agree that it is 'overpriced', but when the alternatives are paying a scalper even more or going without (or camping out with hundreds of others once a month at select Best Buy locations,) for those who really want a card it is as good as it gets now.

Today's Newegg shuffle includes a number of RX 6600 XT's with 4/13 at the $379 MSRP, and only 3 of them above it by more than $100 (within historical reasonability for an upmodel card with premium cooling/etc).

Still in line for 3080Ti on EVGA, but debating just biting the bullet on a 3090 to drive my Index, namely one of the Asus ones. Seen a few NIB for $2400 that are tempting. Hoping they drop a bit more in the coming weeks.

Geez. Newegg shuffle. Should I get the 6600XT or the 6600XT? Or the 6600XT?
That's how shuffles have pretty much been on GPU release days. Was the same thing when the 6700xt came out, and the 3060 as well.

Roguecast has a few things in stock. Most are pretty highly gouged. But..they do have a 6800XT for $1299.

Other than their markups their shipping is super slow. I ordered the 3080/1kw power supply bundle last Thursday and it still hasn’t shipped. They said they have a new vendor and things got mixed up.

Did you all see in the steam survey how there’s more 3090 market share (the lowest of all nvidia cards this generation) than the ENTIRE AMD lineup this generation? Crazy stuff. Obviously AMD is more concerned about other chips right now.

Which leads to the question. If you're unemployed, where are you getting the money to buy expensive GPUs? Shouldn't your priority be something essential like saving every penny where you can. .
Scalping IS their job.
If they get one every day because they wait there every day, and they make $1000 on each card that’s 5K a week or $20K and month. Untaxed.
240K a year if it could go indefinitely. That’a 5x average wage here in Kansas City. Good while it lasts…

Selling just one card a week is like 50K a year. That’s average wage in KC. It’s a lucrative, short term thing and I’m quite sure some of the guys in the Microcenter line here in KC (the three times I tried to camp) where doing exactly that. The regulars told me the same guys were there every single day.

AMD.com had a special GPU event this morning at 9 am EDT. Put you in a random que, but alas cards were sold out before I reached the end of the que.

Any folks here have success this morning?

Entered the shuffle today for the 3060 and 3060Ti. Looks like 80 bucks over MSRP which is somehow an 'OK' deal.

Good times.

I entered for the $870/$900 3080's. Both're above MSRP; but by margins roughly inline with the anti-china tarrifs that were one of the last acts of the previous administration, and among the few that the current one seems uninterested in repealing. As usual I passed on all the much more expensive pre-scalped cards and ones in bundles with overpriced crap.

I didn't pay attention to the model number and looked at the EVGA 3060 Black MSRP and not the XC Gaming. So it appears that these two shuffle deals are pretty solid then.

While you got it mostly right Archaea with your explanation you missed answering 1 question here: where is someone who is unemployed getting the funds together to start and get their 1st card? I think I have an idea how that happened. Many, many people have lost their jobs during this pandemic but if we go back to September 2020 when the RTX 3080 launched (which I feel is the genesis/origin point of everything we've seen since) those who were not professional scalpers already (who have been doing the scalping business for years on rare basketball shoes, Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering cards and live events as examples) likely didn't have a job but they lost their job recently at the time, which means they still likely had a good credit rating if they were frugal/thrifty with their money. So they took out a small loan with a bank to pay for their 1st 1-4 video cards and then sell them at 2X-5X the price to pay off the loan quick and keep going. Some non-pro scalpers after September 2020 likely did the same thing but not all of them. Others had different means.

Let's also remember to respect that professional scalpers are also driving this market on high technology product scalping too and let's also not forget the role they're playing here. These are people who were again doing it for years before the pandemic on other items, never thought computer CPUs, GPUs, PS5s and XBox Series X/S's could make them any money until they discovered there would be limited quantity and they just asked around the public when nVIDIA and AMD started announcing their GPUs and they thought, "Hey! There is massive demand for this product and companies are not going to make many due to manufacturing issues for a while. Let's take a chance on this, buy up quite a few and see what happens..." And then the semi-conductor shortage started which would affect PS5, XSX, Switch (to a degree) rest for the pro scalper was history. It took these 3 things to get the pro scalper to be interested in this at all:

1. Limited quantity of product
2. Ultra-high demand of the community
3. The willingness to spend their financial capitol on the product.

You see, even for the pros to spend on items so expensive (because rare basketball shoes per 1 pair at MSRP will only run as high a price as a Nintendo Switch normally [$300])? This was at first a gamble for them too. They probably thought at the start they would spend all this money on what I've spoken of here and it might not make them any money back. But here we all are. Out!
