Yeah, it does. It's under the "sound out" option in the main menu. At least on my system there's still some audio lag when using it, though. It's not huge, but it's there in twitchy games. That's even with all the sync functions turned on in my AVR, too. It doesn't seem to affect movies, though. The other caveat is much smaller: it doesn't work with DTS. For some reason LG doesn't want DTS to pass-through via eARC.

Are you playing games with game mode?

Are you watching movies in non-gaming modes?

That's probably the difference, right there. Game mode is probably so quick, that the "sync" function can't keep up. Whereas other picture modes have so much delay for input processing, "sync" mode works seamlessly.

I don't even see DTS as supported at all, for the CX. (I'm looking at the product page, now).

They probably figure its just superseded by now, and omitted support.
But I would try two things:

Decode DTS on the playback device (LPCM or PCM sound means the device is decoding. Bitstream means the device is not touching the audio and just sending it out). Then when it goes to the TV, see if you can send it out to the reciever, one way or another.

Or try bitstreaming the whole way. So, bitstream from the playback device to the TV, then bitstream from the TV, to the receiver. That's assuming this enables you to bypass the TV trying to decode DTS.

I keep game mode turned off. Things seem snappy enough, and that's even playing fighting games. I'll give it a try and see if that helps, though. I don't really even need eARC, but it does open up some additional color modes in Windows.

DTS is interesting because it does seem a little like a dying format. DTS:X is pretty fantastic and is even integrated into Windows 11 (kinda like Dolby Access), though. I think they missed the boat by not seriously getting into bed with the Xbox and (especially) the PS5, though. I have a pile of DTS movie files and disks laying around, so I noticed support was missing right away. I can set MPC-HC to output those files to PCM, luckily, although it's not the best.
 
Nope at this point I’m gonna hold out for next Gen. My 1080FE is chugging just fine in the game I play which is CoD Cold War. Everything turned down to the lowest setting.
 
No. Not spending that much on a god damned video card. I'l wait until whenever.

A local legit retailer had them on stock and was selling them at "only" about 25% over MSRP. I had a credit card rebate too so the price I paid wasn't too bad.

I have observed that the new shipments of LHR cards from the distributors here have lower prices but are still relatively overpriced and seem to be more readily available compared to the non-LHR models.
