Newegg now trading on NASDAQ

tried mem-ex yet?

MSI Tomahawk Max (new)

Mem-Ex = $170

Newegg = $125 (refurb $96)

every component I looked up had the same price span between the two retailers so why would anyone buy from Mem-Ex ?

they are local to lots of people now and they price beat. show them that newegg page and they will beat it.

so it would be $137 after the price beat and free shipping.

"show them that newegg page and they will beat it." ... ok, that would be a game changer. What's their return policy like? It's easy peezy to return stuff to Newegg after it's opened (minus a resonable restock fee of coarse unless there was a problem/ failure with the item).

One thing that has bothered me about Newegg recently, is the 3rd party sellers doing Amazon arbitrage.

Basically, the seller takes an Amazon product, steals the photos, and puts it on Newegg (or more commonly eBay) and then jacks up the price maybe $2 or $3 dollars (for a small item).

Then when you buy, they buy on Amazon as a gift purchase and have it sent to you. I just had this happen today with some velcro tape I bought.

Kind of annoying when I was purposefully trying to avoid Amazon and support small time sellers.

have only returned unopened thing without issue, so not sure.

I remember the Newegg of old where I could email CS and ask for a specific stepping on my Opty 165 orders. Pretty sure the service reps these days don’t even speak proper English let alone have any deep technical knowledge about the products NE sells.

These days I use NE for search and then buy somewhere else...

They still have the best cataloguing of any website imo. It's so nice being able to filter on so many different things to find the right components. Also very high resolution images.
Agree with this, but screw Amazon. They have killed enough businesses.

Everyone is crapping on newegg, but then where do you buy your components? I have a best buy which i dont mind supporting if they have something in stock, but otherwise its amazon or newegg. Newegg often has better selection and usually the same or better price then amazon. Newegg has the better website to shop on, amazon has faster shipping (but only because i pay them $100+ a year for prime) I have been a happy newegg customer for 17+ years. Customer service has never dropped the ball for me either. Meanwhile amazon employees have to pee in their pants or risk being fired so Jeff Bezos can be richest guy ever?

There are enough job openings in the same pay range as Amazon warehouse pay. Have been for a while.
I can't believe that anyone would work there unless they get a thrill from peeing themselves in public.

I think Amazon is staffed with perverts or liars.
