What are you nerds playing this weekend?

Desperados III. Really great so far, finding it similar to the fun tactics in Divinity games.

Likely some Rage 2 (got free a few weeks ago on Epic) which I'm finding way more fun than the reviews suggest.

Rage 2 is pretty fun but after awhile it gets repetitive and a little boring. Not as bad as the reviews say though I still had a fun time playing it, I just didn't like it enough to go back and get 100%

I'll be getting close to wrapping up a playthrough of Puppygames' break-from-the-usual-arcade-game, Basingstoke, which is a roguelite zombie survival game. The game has reasonably good tension but is marred by imperfect controls which can be frustrating given that you die in one hit from anything. Crafting is simple and takes a while to open up depending on the items you get in your run. It is enjoyable to turn the tides for a while with some powerful weaponry you create.

I got through Chapter 3 of Blackguards which continues to be a solid tactical RPG on normal difficulty. I assume Hard would see a great deal more deliberation over gear and preparation. As it is, I can steamroll most encounters with only a few requiring more than one shot.

Been playing some more shadowlands, a bit of apex legends, and CP2077, other then having some problems picking up random stuff the game works fine

After watching tonight's final Supercross race in SLC:
The Ultimate Doom for that nostalgia. I will try to get through Knee Deep in the Dead and The Shores of Hell.
The Division 2 league events and daily missions. SHD watch lvl 861/1000. Not in a rush.

About to start up Shenmue 1 on PC. It's been a long time since I played this on Dreamcast and I had a blast playing it back then.
I'm glad Shenmue 2 is actually in english this time around because the last time it was played, all in Japanese.

Metro: Exodus Enhanced Edition
Runescape, double XP event going on.
The Division 2: Global Event Reanimated.

Void Bastards which was gifted to me, I put three hours into, and don't remember how to play well in terms of when to sneak, when to fight, and when to bail to live another day.

Supreme Commander I managed not to play this at release and it's time to perform large scale warfare. Two monitor support is cool and unfortunately feels like it was tacked on rather than designed around.

Uncharted 4
Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition
Maybe continue my second playthough of RDR2. I haven’t called a horse “boah” in a while and I miss it.

CoD MW. Looks like a number of new bugs. But they added a new map and weapon. I was pleasantly surprised. Thought after Black Ops came out that would be the end of new content.

R-Type Final 2 is HARD.

Somewhat unfairly hard.

I just picked it up. Haven’t played it much yet though. Just wrapping up Hyper Light Drifter (again). Might give it a proper play this weekend.

Getting Resident Evil Village today after work so that should be fun. My friends wanted to get a group together for Cod MW but my account got stolen and Activision is no help actually getting it back. I filed another ticket this morning and they said it should take like 10 days smh. Returnal is coming in the mail sometime in the next few days so I'm excited for that too

RE Village with a little bit of Ori & the Will of the Wisps to break things up. I should have all of Sunday to put some time into both.

My buddy and I have been burnt out on cod. We have reinstalled arma3 and found a good wasteland server. Plan on spending some time trolling on that server this weekend.

I'm seriously considering giving Fallout 76 another REAL shot....

Besides that, Valheim and Warhammer 40K Inquisitor (both co-op /w a buddy)

Just had a great phone call with Mom, now I'm firing up Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. :). This will be my first RE game. Was never really interested in the series, but the first-person perspective has me intrigued and I figured I should play this one before Village. Hoping for an Outlast/Amnesia kind of experience, although I'm aware there will be weapons to use. Wish me luck!

I beat Silent Hill Homecoming. It was a wreck but there were enjoyable parts (mostly at the beginning knifing nurses).

Playing the Doom Eternal DLC. OMG it is so hard, even on the easy setting I was working up a sweat. Up to the boss now.

Want to play Ghostrunner next, and catch up on the RE7 DLC before I start Village.

I was literally just thinking how all you see nowadays is stuff on RE, and how much I dislike the series. Like the Devil May Cry games I've tried to get into the last few, but the dialogue, characters and design is all just so hokey. I really can't get into a survival-horror game where everything is... embarrassingly thirsty-dorky (searching for the right adjectives here).

No judgement on people who like these games, but am I going crazy that there's a high level of cringe?

My copy of Returnal hasn't come in so I'm working on the RE8 platinum right now. Also been getting back into Cod MW because cold war sucks. Only problem is my 300hr account got stolen and Activision support sucks so I had to start fresh.

I am probably behind the curve, but a friend and I just started playing Homeworld series last weekend. Good times. As an RTS player, still trying to get the hang of the 3D space combat =).

My copy of Returnal just came in yesterday so I'm gonna be working through that. Might go back into RE8 if I have time before Biomutant's release

Escape from Takarov is another game I have thought about getting into. However, similar to other comments, I have heard it was torture. Not sure if I want to suffer after a days worth of work =).

I wouldnt say that its torture but it has a very steep learning curve and can be frustrating at times. I dont have a ton of time into it yet but so far I am really enjoying it.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition PC drops in 16 hours and sooner for Asia. Can't wait to play it over again in 4K with improved textures.

I never beat RE7 back in 2017 so I'm playing through it again now before I pick up Village. Man that game is tough when it comes to ammo. Maybe I'm not supposed to kill every molded in the basement, but how else am I supposed to explore? It frustrates me a bit because every time I miss a headshot I'm like "do I have to reload the game now?"

There is actually a lot of ammo/health in the game. It was a real struggle the first time I played, but on the second go I found it was actually pretty easy and I had so many unused items.

Mostly what you have to do is run up really close to the monster and shotgun them in the face, point blank 1 hit kill. Then run away and line up the next enemy. You can do this with the handgun too, but I think it takes 2 or 3 hits.

It's going to be tough cause on the first play you don't know all the patterns, but after you know the game is pretty easy.

I wasted alot of ammo in the beginning of my playthrough, but learned sometimes it's better to run past them without shooting and just shut the door after. It was my first playthrough too, and I thought it was a great game.

Onto Village now. After playing the first 45 minutes in that game, I think the visuals and atmosphere improved since part 7. Can't wait to see what the rest of the story brings.

Styx: Master of Shadows which is a grand-scale sneaker though the level sections so far have a fairly quick path through them. My gripe with the game early on is that there aren't a lot of options to disengage from combat and the combat is designed to be avoided. There may be additional tools to help this later but in the mean time judicious use of F5 is getting me along.

RE: Village NG+ on Hardcore. If I ever get fed up or annoyed, I'll probably fire up Ori and the Will of the Wisps, too. My goal is to complete both before Biomutant comes out on the 25th.

Mainly ME Legendary on the PS4 Pro on the 120" projector screen in the basement.

From the PC side, playing thru Doom Eternal DLC Part 1 on Nightmare difficulty (slayer gates, err). Might try RE7 before moving to 8 since you all seem to be enjoying 8. RE7 is on gamepass ultimate so may as well take advantage of it.

Playing ME LE on this 2 setup. 4K HDR 1000+ @120hz 😜 Mass Effect have never look this glorious 😁
