Wow, even at the local MC, the price is $150 up from the MSRP (of $549.99)! It's now sitting at $699.99!!! More expensive than the 16-core R9 3950X!!! Wow...just wow... Well, at least it's still more affordable than other websites.

Yep. They just got 25+ at mine which never happened for 5900x before and they raised the prices. Idk why they are doing it. AMD CPUs are not that hard to come by recently.

This is an outrage

Anyone near the Microcenter in Mayfield Heights, OH, just got off the phone with the rep at the store. Apparently they have over 50+ 5900x and 5950x. Just FYI.. I am heading up there later this evening.

*Just got back.. They have legit TONS of 5900 and 5950's up there..

That price is reasonable... enough to deter scalpers and get them into the hands of people who are actually going to use them while keeping the store afloat.

Looks like the Denver store has 18 5900X's in stock, too.

Just booked my flights. J/K.

AMD reiterates, "Prices are back to normal", but has now clarified and added, "but only for normal people."

We're toast...

micro center houston texas has,so site says, 25+ in stock for 549.99. regular 799.99-250.00 for in store only i guess as these are not avalible on line

Nice, I might finally go and grab a 5900x for myself. Been putting off my platform upgrade since the 3700x has been doing everything I want it to, but now's as good a time as any.

Theyve even got the dark hero 8 in stock to boot. If only they had a 3080 or 6800xt...maybe next year hahaha.

They haven't been showing stock of Nvidia cards recently. You have to go to the store and see.

^ This. I watched them put some on sale a month ago. They never made it to the website...or the shelf for that matter. They went straight from the truck to a couple carts in the middle of the DIY section. People that saw 'em were granted one per person. They had a couple dozen with a mishmash of EVGA 3080 + 3090 SKU's.

Mine keeps them in the back. You have to ask the people in the DYI we section to see if they have any. Then they run to find a manager to get a voucher. Also they are enforcing the one card per house a month with ID checks.

All our Houston MC has are the 6900XT at 1800 and 2500 price points, not happening at these prices.
