The ASUS rep would just turn around while telling the Newegg to eat the bag of dicks while he sold the cards and bundled crap to someone else and walk right out the door.
If the garbage parts didn't eventually sell to some chumps they'd've never been listed in the past.

So be it. Is it really worth newegg to eat 10k worth of motherboards they will never sell for the privilege to sell one 1k gpu bundle (they probably paid at least 900 for?) At a certain point you can only eat so much cost before going out of business. Anyway we will never know what's really going on behind the scenes, but if this kind of predatory activity is going on prices will only ever continue to soar.

they wouldn't buy anything unless it made sense to them. So there has to be more to it than what was presented in the video. No business is going to eat tons of money knowing they won't sell the products.

Look, we totally get where you're coming from, and we ALL wish the scenario were different, but would you rather buy a motherboard and a 3070 for $999 or ONLY have the option of paying $1300 for JUST the 3070 from a scalper? Newegg, while by no means perfect, is still trying however they can to get high demand graphics cards in the hands of their core customers: GAMERS. Again, none of us love it. We all agree it's not perfect, but they are doing something. There are people on here that have only been able to get a reasonably priced graphics card THANKS TO THE SHUFFLE.

I bet they're not thinking, "Oh I wish Newegg would have told the Asus distributor to eat a bag of dicks so that I COULDN'T have this graphics card I'm enjoying playing games on ..."

Remember the story of the starfish, my friend.

In the end the laws of supply and demand will work themselves out...

i doubt their reasoning is GAMERS, its more to make it fairer for anyone to get an in demand product. try and remove the autobot situation.

Right, it is soemthing, but no way are they thinking of 'helping' gamers, its for pr. That's an ideal scenario, but there's just as much reason to think that these cards are going to scalpers or miners too. Nothing special about what they are doing to make sure gamers get them. Anyway it's still newegg's choice to bundle them like this.

No reason to think people aren't using mass email generators to mass create newegg accounts too.

im sure there are but they have some ability to figure that before they make selections. just comes down to how much they care or not about it. We don't know to what depth they go to purge entries.

I swear I click on the link within <5 minutes of you posting and it's sold out already. Every. Single. Freaking. Time.

Does anyone know what brand/model the 3070 is?

Edit: Turns out, i'm blind.
Complete systems often stay in stock long enough for a real person to buy them.

My advice is login to your bestbuy account, go to the pages for the complete systems which you are interested in, and click on the "save" button.

Then several times a day, refresh your saved items page.

You will get one if you want one. I've actually purchased two systems in the past 10 days. But I refunded them, because I decided I don't want to take on a whole system I don't need, just to gut a GPU.

I did myself a favor, went out and upgrade my TV, from a 10 year old 46" Samsung LCD (not even LED), to a 65" Samsung Q7DT, while not the best TV out there by any stretch, it still is a monumental upgrade in picture quality and size (and I really was pushing the budget I wanted to spend, LG's OLED weren't going to come anywhere close... and I don't have a Microcenter near by so no refurbs for me). And while videophiles might tell me that this TV isn't bright enough to get true HDR, I'll tell them to kindly STFU it looks amazing to what I used to be looking.

Don't need to be hunting for a video card now, I'll happily use movies and tv shows in 4k HDR to keep me entertained :)

Not sure how, but it would be fun to make a contest out of this. First to hit 0 for 50 gets a prize, then again at 0 for 100. We don't want to admit it, but that is going to be likely the way things are going.

Been a good week for me. Won the NewEgg shuffle yesterday for an Asus 3060Ti with a 550 mobo combo that I can actually use.

Also got a 10:00:05 AM PT timestamp on the EVGA KingPin HydroCopper block today and already received the invite to purchase (which I did). So my main rig will finally be all water.

A 360 Hz IPS monitor. For some purposes it's about as good as a monitor gets.
Ahhh I missed that on my phone.

The pricing of the bundle is still out of line in my opinion, but the monitor is specifically a very desirable model if you want extreme framerates and low response times and can't abide a TN panel.
Whites are always a premium.
I’m actually kinda interested in the monitor but I’m not good enough at FPS’ for that to be my issue.
the 3080 combo didn’t seem wildly out of whack especially next to this bundle.

Even with the fastest CPU out there you're going to be laughably CPU limited in 95% of cases not to mention the architecture itself doesn't scale worth a crap at lower resolution. A 3090 at 1440p is even a waste in the vast majority of games and it's an absolute joke at 1080p. You could have a card half as fast from AMD and get the same or better performance at that low resolution in many if not most cases. Check out the hardware unboxed video showing just how piss poor Nvidia is at lower resolutions if you doubt me.

Attaching a $700 monitor as a mandatory buy with an already WAY overpriced GPU is ... wow. Seems like the Hardware Unboxed video is correct. What an odd mix of required Asus branded junk attached to the desirable GPUs. I would love a Strix 3090, but that monitor would be a stupid purchase for most users. Not surprised it's a piss-poor seller. It deserves to be.
