[H] Stock Alerts, Tips & Tears for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, PS5, XBOX

Quite a few complaints that OfficeDepot had a drop last night even though they haven't fulfilled the previous orders from their last drop.

I wonder if B&H are about to get some and charge a higher price. They removed the prices on the Asus Strix 3090's I've been watching.
I see evga doing the same thing, shipping to other retailers and really fucking over the people in their queue. I’m nowhere near getting anything via their queue, but I think I see stuff that doesn’t even move in their spreadsheet but shows up on amazon

In fairness, they have longstanding distribution contracts in place that they can't tear up simply because GPU demand surged. Packing and shipping GPUs direct to consumers from their small facility in Brea, CA is not their business model. It's a band aid to try to do a little more for customers than other AIB partners.

Distributors and retailers receiving shipments is not really screwing people in the queue once factoring this, despite how it may look. It's just reality of their business.

I hear you, but If you can’t handle the capacity, then don’t do offer a “service” you can’t possibly meet the demand for. This will get better once crypto ends, I hope they keep up with the “mining voids your warranty “ stance.

Yea cause they can prove that you were mining in the card. As long as you didn't modify the card or the bios they will not denie your card for mining on it.

When looking at throwing $1000+ away you see how honest people really are. Don't be so naive.
People run into cars in parking lots and leave notes all the time. A low speed parking lot collision on today’s cars can run into the thousands. I’m not sure what turned you down on humanity, but perhaps you should consider who you associate with?

I think the gimped, or worse voided, warranties over mining are pretty stupid. They should either stand behind their product or not. Also how do they prove that it was mined on? That said I totally understand products marketed for mining use and sold for that purpose may have a more limited warranty because the expectation is heavier usage.

That is not the same thing. There are legal consequences for fleeing the scene. You never know who is watching and will report you. I had my cars hit several time through out the years and never got a note. I bet a lot more people flee then leave a note.

That's what I was thinking...

On a separate but related topic, how is mining different from folding (an evga-sponsored activity)? They both load the GPU and run 24/7.

Yeah that would be like Nissan saying warranty voided on the transmission since you live in, and drive on steep mountain roads.

Newegg is really pushing these scalped cards.
These arent sold by NE, but they do personally sell a 5700XT I believe for $599

As much as I hate miners I agree with you on this one.

Heavy use does not prematurely wear out the chip, as long as nothing else stupid is going on.

Just picked up an alienware r10 with 5800x, 64gb ram, 2tb nvme, 1k psu, and 3080 for $2200 at dell outlet. They usually drop them all morning a few at a time.
That’s about the best deal I’ve heard of yet. Congrats. I see how to filter on just Nvidia cards, but not on generation. All Turing cards right now, it seems. Are you getting notified on those from something or just manually checking?

I get to work at 730 and just scroll down. The dell outlet is closed on the weekends so they put up on Monday mornings a lot.
Just checked, and to build this same system thru dell is $3300. Sucks it didn't have a 5900x:)

Jus scored this. Was open box. took a chance, since I have had a few ABS builds. Has 30 day full refund lol. I just had to, couldn't believe the price on it with all the specs and 32GB ram and 10 core. It was hiding on the bottom when I searched rtx 3080. Looks like there was only one since its went out of stock right after I ordered.

I can throw the parts in my nicer case that I have down the road when I part the other build out. Thats if all checks out fine with this lol.

The combo thing sucks, and we've discussed it ad nauseum, but at least today they're somewhat related. High refresh rate monitors and such.
Except most offered are low res 1080p monitors I'd personally never want, ever. Except for the one 1440p 27", that is would be mildly interesting as a upgrade for my daughter.

Not saying you're wrong or anything, because I'm not interested in any of them, either (even if they are 360 Hz). However, at least most people could put a second monitor to more use than a second mainboard or low quality PSU.

Congrats, that’s a great deal.

Agreed, I’m actually interested in a few of these combos. That 360hz monitor would be fun to try out, but it’s only included with that very overpriced white 3090 and a 3060 which probably can’t push 240-360fps on anything from the past decade.

i wouldn't mind a new monitor but I can't deal with 24"+ screens in my face. the motion sickness gets real.

Nice deal!
Man. Newegg and trying to offload their inventory by comboing with RTX 3 series cards, lol........ Low down. F*ck them.
Yeah I might not even bother today for the 1st time

Damn that a nice one! I have a pre-order with similar specs for around the same price with a lower end CPU.

What size monitor do you use?
Im using 55" TV across the room right now. I get vertigo easy, and am tying to decide what size monitor and desk to buy.

I know a guy with vertigo who has had to give up a lot of gaming. He can only do slower paced stuff in third person. I have never played WOW, but he says he was good until getting to the winged mounts. He watches TV on a 720P TV.

Newegg is kicking off the shuffle list early. You can see what's on offer, which is 5900X, 3060 combos, 3070 combos, 3080 combos, 6800xt combos, and 3090 combos.

strange they changed it up now to be 4 hours in advance to see what you can't win and now you can't pre select items.

I can get sick even on bigger displays depends on what is going on. Even something like Rock Band I could get nausea after 30 mins or so.

I am the same way. I am fine watching tv and movies. But anything games for prolonged period I have to shut it off. Miss the old young days lol

Yesterday arrival and install for me. MSRP RX 6800 from AMD direct. Absolute blind luck checking the site last week and was able to left click to victory.

Good hunting everyone!

21.5 i think. Sad thing is it limits me to 1080p and 60hz.
The size of the screen is the main issue for you?
I sit 8ft away from a 55" 1080p tv right now

Thee are many games I cant play like all the main FPS games. The constant looking up/down, left/right messes me up/
I first noticed it like 15 yrs ago when my watching my daughter would play Perfect Dark on her Nintendo.
I think I actually threw up felt extremely dizzy an got a migraine.
It has gotten way worse for me since. I had to give up drinking beer as well.
I mostly play driving games now.

My local MC has the 5900x and 5950x in stock. Looks like they're FOMOing over the gouging though. They even raised the MSRP to make it look like a better deal. :rage:
