10nm Xeon’s come to play

Well the tagline is
"Generationally Big, Competitively Small"
 
Or, another reason why Apple is ditching Intel. I can't imagine the company updating the iMac Pro or Mac Pro with these and facing the barrage of "but Threadripper/Epyc is faster with fewer cores" criticism. It's good that Intel is moving on to 10nm at this level, but it should've been there ages ago.

If Apple were to move to AMD that would be great for Apple and pretty terrible for everybody else as Apple could single handedly consume 100% of the supply.

The way Apple gets first dibs on everything TSMC, I am sure TSMC would "magically" find extra capacity for Apple at the expense of everyone else.

You missed the punch line.

As impressive as the new Xeon 8380 is from a generational and technical stand-point, what really matters at the end of the day is how it fares up to the competition. I’ll be blunt here; nobody really expected the new ICL-SP parts to beat AMD or the new Arm competition – and it didn’t.
