I'd given up on seeing Nintendo franchises on other systems, but their mobile games have kept that hope alive. At least a sliver. It illustrates they are open to it, if only a little.
In recent years Nintendo systems have always focused on a gimmick. I couldn't care less about motion controls, a tablet, 2 screens, system cross-play, 3D, etc. The thing is, the Nintendo games *I* want to play aren't reliant on those gimmicks. In most cases they don't use them at all. Hence why I always wish I could play Mario Kart, Zelda, F-Zero, Mario, Smash, Metroid, etc. on a system with more horsepower.
