Best CPU Waterblock?

I've managed to get a Ryzen 5900x and am going to include it into my custom loop. I've been doing the research on waterblocks however there is no clear cut leader on what waterblock to get. One site will say the Heatkiller is best. Another says EKWB Magnitude is. Yet another might say the Corsair waterblock is best.

Is there a consensus here on what WB is the better block? Am I looking into this too much? I will only be doing mild overclocking.

You are looking in it too much. At this point they are all very close to each other if you stay with the major players. Just pick the one you like the most and go with it. It would be nice if some one did a round up but almost no one does proper water blocks reviews anymore.

Thanks. I was going to go with the Heatkiller however I have a question. I ran across a thread where someone complained that the inlet is in the center of the WB. What is the concern there?

Not too sure. Never heard anything bad about Heat killer stuff. They are one of the best.

I'm looking for a heatkiller too, unfortunately PPCS is OOS of both the heatkiiler and the TechN blocks. Stock is very scarce. Good luck finding either one.

I just ordered direct from watercool.de. They got it in stock.

Came here to say TechN. Their AM4 block aims the inlet at the cores, so it performs slightly better than optimus and heatkiller. Only issue is you HAVE to run the water inlet from the bottom of the block, don't have an option to invert it.

Also the logo is a magnet, so you can take it off, which is a nice feature.

I recently switched from the Corsair block to the TechN and I can tell you the max temps I see on my 5900X during something like a R20 run have dropped from 79C to 74C. So the chip is boosting more.

I ordered my TechN direct from them. Took about a week and a half to get to me, in the US.

Holy hell. I'm mildly regretting ordering a Raystorm Neo now.
