[H] Stock Alerts, Tips & Tears for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, PS5, XBOX

Well, if you're not completely burnt out from looking at $500 3060s yet, Newegg has a bunch of them on shuffle today along with the Ryzen 5900X and a Radeon 6800XT and a Radeon 6900XT. As someone not interested in paying these kinds of prices and not in need of a 5900x I think I'll pass on today's fare.

I was busy this morning and missed this post. I still want to get a 5900x.
Those 3600s at over $329 arent doing anything for me. Looking at their gaming power I personally think they are worth $250. Thats what I think a midrange card should cost.
A decent card shouldn't cost more than a console IMO

Got selected for a 5900x, if any one wants it ~ cost PM me, otherwise will not bother. Not looking to scalp and will have it shipped to you directly.

On a bright note, 5900x prices on the bay are approaching 700 shipped which means the market is saturated (cost is 600 with tax in most places so the seller is breaking even in these cases) and these should go GA like the 5800x soon :)
Im waiting for that to get one and sell this 5800x to someone at cost.
Hard to sell at cost on ebay wtih them taking 10% and Paypal taking 2.9% though.

I have been trying to sell my 5800x at cost for weeks(actually below cost by $10 with zero interest so it's going back to Newegg. Also, no interest in my nitro 6800 which I didn't expect.
The 5900x seems to be the only AM4 CPU left with somewhat more demand than supply.

As for the 6800, I think price is the big problem. What did you pay for yours?

I think the Radeon 6800s are extremely poor value, lack of good RT performance and DLSS will hurt a lot more than the 16 GB ram would help. A 3090 at 2k+ can be justified in the current market, but not the 1k+ 6800/xts. Hopefully AMD can iterate quickly with RDNA 2.5 and become truly competitive not just in rasterization performance. It's funny to see PS5 gamers getting excited about RT, that RX 6700 equivalent will never be able to offer good RT, especially not at 4k, the original 2070 will likely have it beat.

PS: Fees for selling CPUs on the bay are only 4% if you have a store ($28 per month, requires a two month commitment) so may be worth it if you can use it to offload other odds and ends..

975 shipped.
Yeah, that's the problem. It should be priced in the $6-700 range in THIS market. Before utter pricing insanity hit realistically it should have been more like $500 since it's really competing with the 3070. I'd say ship it back for a refund if you can.

If not and no one is biting locally/here and you cannot return. Can always sell it on eBay with no worries of losing $$. Non XT's appear to be selling for $1200-1450 right now.

Easier said than done with the risks associated with selling on eBay in addition to both PayPal and eBay fees. Shipping + signature + full insurance costs a grip, too. All things that I would do if I were to ship something so expensive and also "overpriced".

And 1 month later your buyer said, "hmm, this is too expensive for me. Return!" Now you have an opened box item and who knows what had happened to it. Even with bent pins, you will have to take it back. No thank you eBay.

woooo doggy, that's a beatdown! MSRP on that card is 550-580.

File this one in the "Tears" section guys.
Maybe that's what you THINK it should be, but even the AMD reference card starts at 580 for the 6800. The Sapphire Nitro cards are hundreds more at retail.

I think the only reason 6800(and other amd GPUs) have a perceived "low" value is because they have a low hash rate. As far as gaming performance goes, most games(other than Cyberpunk) don't benefit that much from DLSS(or it just isn't necessary). In fact, what gamers should realize is that with both consoles running on AMD architecture, Radeons will likely close the GAP pretty quickly, if anything. As many people have discussed, there are some games that have new implementations of RT where radeon

According to Newegg, the current MSRP is 879.99, same with BB.
No they won't, consoles have been running on AMD for two generations now, NV still kicks their butt in the PC space. Not an ideal situation but it is what it is ....

Retailer price ≠ MSRP/SEP. The SEP on the Nitro+ 6800 is $639 ($769 for the XT).

Well, according to your post you THINK it should be 6-$700. 150-200 dollar mark up? That's acceptable, even from an AIB partner?!

That's what AMD said it would be. My argument isn't about AIB cards. I was told by AMD those would be the prices. AIB's are going to screw you every which way they can.

I didnt know that about the store thing, thanks!

That's where I got this one. I think it's just the tax difference. Wisconsin has lowish taxes.
Im selling mine now still sealed. jus cant afford it lol.
Really want a card like 2080 or 3060TI
Not to mention my PSU is only 600 watts. I couldnt find a Corsair SFX 750 at retail
Ryzen 5900x and RX 6800 on 600 watts is really pushing it

Still shows as available open box somewhere, just they won't ship it, apparently. Maybe someone on the forum is in an area where BB will sell it to them.

Gone for me, then. Cannot check out with any pickup or delivery options, clicking checkout just returns me to this page. YMMV

Yeah, we're not in the right area, apparently. However, someone else may be able to get it, so if someone wants it they should check for themselves to see if it's possible for them to get it.

jsss those 3060 are an outrage at those prices :hungover:
Yeah, I remember just a week ago the Asus 3070 strix was $719 plus shipping. Today the TUF (cheaper model) is $50 more than that. The market is insane right now.

Yeah good thing they have cards marked up at (edit: more than) $200 over MSRP.
Yes, but if you wanted something faster than a 3060 at least there's the possibility of that, today.

The 3060 is a pretty bad value for $500. The 3070 is a less terrible value at $700, in my opinion, but all of the current prices are quite obnoxious.
