Aquaero 6 pro not reading temp sensor

I have recently completed a build and am using an aquearo 6 pro along with a high flow 2 that advertises built in temp sensor. I have the HF2 connected to the 3 pin "flow" connector on the AQ6 and the included sensor part of the cable connected vertically to the 2 pronged sensor 1 connector. I get a flow reading and the high flow 2 is recognized but no temp readout. The only temp readouts I can see are the for fan header temps, don't know what they are but certainly not water temps. Help would be appreciated, I can see no other way to wire this high flow 2. It only came with the one cable and I hooked up the two ends in the only places they would fit.

Odd. Could you add a pic of the AQ6?

Assuming the temp sensor is functioning, and you have two of the temperature pins bridged it should show a temperature for that sensor.

I have the Quadro instead of an Aquearo, but I do not recall there being a fan header temperature, is it possible that the temp you see is the HF2? Those sensors can be off, and is why there is an offset function in aquasuite.

Easiest way to test if it is the HF2/cable or the AQ6 would be to plug in one of the temp sensors that came with the AQ6 to the same two temperature connections. That would rule out the AQ6. Then just work your way back, double check the plug on the HF2 etc.

Aquacomputer has a pretty good, if sometimes slow, customer support team. If the HF2 or cable is bad they will likely just replace it.

This is the cable that came with the high flow 2:

The 3pin "pwm" type plug is installed in the black reciever in the bottom right bank of headers. The black 2 pin connector is installed on the first 2 prongs of the bank of 8, 2 pin headers at the top right.
