ZOTAC Antagonizes Gamers With New White Edition Cards in Mining Rigs

Yah cause burning 300w+ to play cyberpunk definitely environmentally friendly
Is that what you tell yourself when you look in the mirror? Do I even have to mention, that one GPU running a few hours a day and running dozens 24/7 is the height of a false equivalence?

Also I thought that the value of entertainment to society and civilization was common knowledge even in the times of Ancient Rome. Apparently some are yet to catch on.

You wanna talk about environment and wasting resources, every bit counts.Your 200w GPU could be providing clean water for kids in Africa, every bit counts.

You wanna discuss the effects of mining on the environment on a message board where pretty much everyone is building overkills rigs to play games, or find aliens

Second, the crypto markets are nothing but entertaining ATM. Up down up down, like a rollercoaster. It's also entertaining to see my shares accepted.

^First world problems - being able to discuss and compare what resources are less wasteful, while using resources(electricity, phone, tablet, computer, etc) that are wasteful to do so.
That, and debating what forms of currency are “real”. 😂

Red herring fallacy here.

The original argument which is that mining is a total waste of natural resources and contributes to waste and global warming stands.

Sure it stands. As an opinion. And as such no fallacies can be attached to either it or any counter arguments.

All of what?

Coal burns so you can get a useless hash. The end.
Not sure it will be (my brain cannot really understand most of it), but in a world in which people often accept negative interest rate to store value, they could find an use for some in that way (and has money for people living in place in the world with terrible money)

Heck, I'd like one of these just so I could have a laugh. Might even be worth something someday. lol

I am not sure if anyone ever did choose to buy a Zotac card over an other brand in the history (outside the this is the cheapest card available) hard to imagine a scenario for which it matter much what they post online.
probably pick zotac over pny... sometimes their AMP Extreme cards or whatever seem to have good overclocking but my last 3 cards have been asus and while none of them are top overclockers, they're all still running. oh and no coil whine.

edit: prob pick them over asrock too since my experience with my asrock 990fx board.

It isn't useless, and man-made global warming isn't proven.
At least we aren't using GTX 480 GPUs any more - just one of those depleted the ozone layer by itself, and that was running it at idle. :D
Speaking of the GTX 480:

Zotac seem to be more popular outside of the US, like Elsa. Locally they seem to be the brand that would have in-stock RTX 30 series cards when others do not.

Wouldn't be my first choice for sure.

Why is zotac such a joke here? Their cards are fine... I've owned some of them.

They just tend to be the lowest end cheapest cards. It's [H]ard, most of us like the highest end and overclocking. We're not going to spend over $1000 on a video card and buy the zotac with the worst cooler to save $15.
