Anything similar to the G502?

So I have the G502 Hero. It's a great mouse, very smooth and I just love the way it feels compared to others but I absolutely dislike the Ghub software. It just simply is broken for me when it comes to setting the DPIs.

Any mouse out there that feels the same with better software?
 
I can't say for sure with the 502 Hero (I have the pwm3366 version), but I think it should work with the older version of software called Logitech Gaming Software. It has not been updated for a couple years but IMO is far better than GHub. Logitech still has it for download on their site. May be worth a try. Some of their newest products require GHub but the 502 Hero should be old enough to work with either.

The hero does NOT work with LGS. I've tried.

As for a mouse similar to the G502 but by a different company - I'm sure they exist but I haven't actually looked that heavily myself.
So i'd love to know the responses to this.

Damn... so much for that idea. A little surprised too - the G305 lightspeed is newer than the 502 Hero and yet it works great with LGS.

Maybe the 305 lightspeed is NOT newer than the 502 Hero. Either way it sucks it doesn't work with LGS, 'cause GHub sounds awful.
 
What is the problem with setting the DPI? I use 800 DPI. I set 800 DPI as the only option in GHub and now I never touch it. Real simple.
 
I haven't had any issues setting DPI either with GHub. I set mine at 1600 and remove the other DPI stops. I've never been a real fan of the Logitech software but I can always get it to do what I want. I've had good success with their hardware over the years though.
 
I have a G502 Hero and I haven't had any issues with the DPI settings. It's not the most intuitive interface, but it works.

Microsoft this is terrible at product marketing, and or at sending samples for product reviews.
But this product was made by tech leader in Taiwan, and it is truly one of latest innovations from any aspect.
Sensor calibration according to mouse pad surface this is news to me.
Mouse this store all settings at his own circuit, Windows software this is just to review settings or change settings.
Since the mouse this gets configured ones, then it can be moved at any PC, DPI settings and all settings they are retained.

I've seen the Raezer Basilisk be close to it. I couldn't run it because I've gotten used to using the extra 3 buttons the G502 has compared to it. But maybe check it out. What exaclty are you running across with DPI? I'm using the lightspeed G502 with zero issues and ya the software sucks but it's gotten better.
 
I have been using the G502 for a few years. Just upgraded to the Dark core rgb pro. When gaming the dpi setting buttons would always get accidently hit. How I over come that was with disabling the buttons in Ghub. Since moving to Corsair I liked Ghub a lot better. I picked the Dark core because it felt like the G502.
 
I am using G502 hero for over a year now. And I have the same problem with accidently hitting the dpi button, but I have fixed the problem by going in the Ghub and bringing the 3 out of 4 dpi settings close to each other so even if i hit the button during game it does not affect it that much. I use 1 setting for very low dpi because I am doing a lot of "pixel hunting" in my work, so having 1 dpi setting for that is useful for me. That is why I don`t disable it all together. You can disable it on game by game bases , but that get annoying pretty fast.
