I have a Gigabyte P25X v2, 16 gig, SSD main drive, no overclocking. Link to original configuration https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Laptop/P25X-v2#kf Battery at about 40%. All power button settings, lid closing etc. set to shut down. I shut it down by picking shut down.

Here is the mystery. At around 11:00 pm every night there is a high pitched beeping noise that lasts for for less than a minute. The sound is not very loud like an actual alarm notification but it is there. No alarms set, no calendar items set, not plugged into line power at all.
This seems impossible yet it is happening. Please help.

Still happening. Maybe my house is built over an old 486 graveyard. Any ideas? Tonight I separate the battery.
that was my next suggestion. any idea what condition the battery is in, like life remaining? i wonder if its a warning for that. and bios didnt have any won or power up schedule or anything like that? bios is up to date?

Nothing in the bios. If the battery or the laptop beeps separately I will be thinking an exorcism. Will report back tomorrow.

Are you sure it’s the laptop? I tore apart my office one night at 2am to get to a UPS that was beeping, only to find out it was the smoke alarm low battery warning.

On dells there is a setting to start machines at a particular time, and sounds very similar.
