Unless that que is one besides EVGA's own, that is wrong. I have been in the 3080 XC Ultra queue since 12/1/2020 7:00:25 AM PT. Still waiting.
What part of his post do you dispute? He said his friend was a day one signup and just got his last week.

Given the financial situation constantly deteriorating, I think more and more are staying in these ques and hoping to acquiring ,then flip these cards, just a thought. I have six cards qued up so far,and have recieved none but if I get these I will offer them here for no mark up. My 1 card was bought through a local store in late Oct.
Wish we had more people like you on here. Got a sneaking suspicion that lots are just selling 'em on ebay.

and its gone...
Not a bad thing, NE is adding some value here unlike your lowlife Joe scalper on fleabay, would rather see money go where there is some value add. These new prices are needed to discourage scalpers until atleast the supply situation eases up.

2080 ti's with water blocks installed are cheaper on ebay than that 3070, hopefully the price of the 2080 ti's go up so I can unload mine for more if/when BLT ships out the 3090s. Those of you going from 2080 ti's to the 3000 series, are you selling your old cards or keeping them installed in another slot and mining?

I’ll be selling mine.

I put mine in another system. Shifted everything down the stack. Not mining tho. DC FAH/BOINC.

Seems to be about the same. 800-1k

I plan to sell mine if/when my 3080 FE Best Buy order comes in.

It was raining 3070 bundles on NE, may have gotten a couple of cards if they were not all bundles but if I was dying for a card rt now, plenty of opportunities for picking one up at a semi decent price.

Avoid any product offered by Synchrony Bank (except for their stock since they even figured out how to scam Walmart). They can just close your account whenever they want and cancel any rewards that you have in it. I'd pay scalpers well before dealing with Synchrony.

Am I missing something: how does buying a 2k 3090 for flipping work out? Assuming you are in a low tax state you still would be out 2.1-2.15k, let's say you sell it on fleabay or Amazon for even 2.5k, you'd owe atleast 5% or more in fees (def more for eBay paypal users) so you net what 2.35k optimistically? Deduct insured shipping for something this expensive and you have what 100-150 left over may be? You can make more money in market using options right now and with lower risk / less work....

5 percent, no.. ebay charged 10 percent (and now ~12.35 percent or something like that, they just went up with their new payment system which allows users to pay with things other than paypal, but if a buyer does pay with paypal you still have to pay 3 percent to paypal).

If you have a store and are a volume seller, I believe it's closer to 7-8% total on eBay but this just proves my point, where are the huge margins to be made here that 2k gpus are flying off NE and Amazon and being relisted for 2.5k immediately?

Price hikes and no availablility. I'll be sticking to my 1070 and maybe give the 4x series a shot in two years.

I'm pretty much locked into waiting for the EVGA que until April 21 or whatever. Here's hoping my number is called before then.
My 2060S is holding up well. Having fun, that's the only thing that counts, not framerate. BF6 and 2077 DLC is the time for when I will want the best.

I got into the 3060ti queue, but probably too late, I probably have slightly higher than 0% chance to get one, also did a 3070 but my chances there are even less. However if all of a sudden I start getting availability emails the day after April 21 I'm going to be spitting fire and flipping tables.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised. They are probably losing money honoring the original price while still having to pay the new tariffs.

I doubt they're really losing money, or if they are probably not much. Not sure what the markup is on these cards, but they sell thousands upon thousands to places like NewEgg and MicroCenter who each sell them for the same price as EVGA lists prices online, I doubt those stores are simply calling these cards a loss leader, they are buying them from EVGA at a discount (maybe 5-10%?) so if EVGA actually decided to sell all those cards themselves, and they absolutely would have moved the stock, they would have made considerably more money. Plus who knows, maybe EVGA just says "this was existing stock that was in their warehouses prior to tariff increases" :D

I'm hearing reports of people picking up 3080 cards at my local Micro Center in Brooklyn (NY)...I don't want to do it but I'm thinking about getting there really early 1 or 2 days and seeing if I can snag one...

I got into the 3070 XC3 Ultra queue on day 1 and got a notification on 12/20.

I had Day 1 notifications on two of the "ghost" 3080 products (XC3 Black and XC3 Gaming) and never heard a thing about those. I'm in the step up queue for a 3080 FTW3, but I doubt it will be processed prior to April 21.

I definitely made the mistake of only queuing the XC3 Black (day one here too)... ghost is accurately stated.

Same...I left 'em on just because, still nothing there. I doubt many, if any, of those cards exist. I think I've seen a couple of Blacks show up, but never seen a Gaming.
