Z490 10700k to 10900k Manual Overclocking guide?

Hi guys, just moved from i7-930 to a 10850K. Is there guide on how to manually overclock these Comet Lake CPUs? I watched a gamer nexus video about not letting your mobo auto OC your CPU. I want to manually do it myself and in fact find a way to leave it at a 5.0 all core or dial it down to like 4.6 when I am not planning on gaming.

Back when I got my i7-930, there was a sticky for i7-920s and even for the motherboard I had.

I know motherboards are different but I figured that the UEFI settings are generally the same.

I don't know how to OC these new processors and RAM but I'd like to learn

I used the Turbo Boost overclocking. Basically you can set your CPU to boost whatever cores you want to whatever multiplier you want. Then you adjust the power limit to essentially infinity and it will continue those boost rates indefinitely instead of scaling back to the PL1 value.

Then test for stability.

Curious what kind of stable OC you get out of that 5950x
 
Are there any other voltage settings you can change to help CPU stbality at lower vcore? Or is vcore really the only thing you wanna touch?
 


So I never hear people talk about cache overclocking.... But look at what happened in this video.. He got more gains overclocking his cache frequency

Why would he lie about it? Wouldn't overclocking cache make the CPU run faster? I always assumed, seemingly incorrectly, when you OC the CPU that the cache would automatically be amped up as well.

I think this could be legit

the ratios are differebt so you need to tune it up as well
