So even with ram overclock with cl and etc, the 3600mhz 32gb still performs like 16gb at 3266?On the G.Skill Web site, there are several Trident Z RGB, Trident Z Neo and Trident Z Royal DIMMs. Unfortunately, at the 32 GB DIMM level and the DDR4-3600 tested speed, you'll have to settle for 16-22-22-42 or 18-22-22-42 options, all with rather lousy tRFC latency values in the 990's for tRFC1 (or 550 ns), versus 350 ns or lower for lower-density DIMMs. Expect the 32 GB DIMMs at DDR4-3600 to perform about as slow as the 16 GB DIMMs at DDR4-3266 speed.
Pretty much. High-density IC chips have much higher overall latencies than lower-density chips. Getting a 32 GB stick to perform like a 16 GB stick at the same memory speed would have required 8 Gb (gigabit, not gigabyte) x4 IC chips which most motherboard and CPU manufacturers strongly recommend against using. This means a whopping 16 pieces of IC per side. Most 16 GB and 32 GB sticks have only eight pieces of IC per side, using an x8 configuration. So even with ram overclock with cl and etc, the 3600mhz 32gb still performs like 16gb at 3266?
These are usually Hynix chips. My particular 18-22-22-42 kit uses SK Hynix MJR chips. What is common IC used in a 3600mhz CL 18-22-22-36 1.35v 2x 32gb kit ?
I bought this kit because of the price Mushkin Redline Black – DDR4 DRAM – 64GB . Typhoon burner doesn't give me much info all it says basically it's Micron pcb ? Trying to get the right timings from ryzen calculator but the ram acts like Micron Rev E with high Tfrc. the stock TFRC is 930 It will boot at much lower like 576 or 635 I can't seems to get it to run at CL16 I'm just would like to know what IC's it might be using? These are usually Hynix chips. The Best I can do with this kit so far is 3800mhz fclk 1900mhz CL18 -22-22-22-42-62 Tfrc 608 @ 1.38v soc 1.1v passes memtest86 4 passes completes test. I benchmarked it in AIDA64 and the latency was 63.4nsI bought this kit because of the price Mushkin Redline Black – DDR4 DRAM – 64GB . $219.99 from Amazon it's sold out nowIf typhoon burner is saying micron pcb its likely using the same micron ics you assumed. Thats a solid kit. What did you pay for them?
