I'm going to probably end up having to switch hobbies if this keeps up.
I'm already there. I've pretty much given up Triple A gaming and reversed back to playing emulators & building Single Board Computer consoles to play emulators, among other things.

It was a good run! I'm glad I was able to take part in the golden years of PC gaming.

I had seven and some change in my BTC wallet that I'd forgotten about. I just checked it after reading this thread, and it's now $23.38. That crazy volatility is why crypto will never be a legitimate currency.

I’m there, plus triple a gaming lately blows anyhow

The volatility is a double-edged sword.
It might be best to simply buy it instead of mine it, just for the sake of having a source of value beyond government currencies, especially during such ~unprecedented times.~
And as a source of profit. There's no point in being naive in either direction. There are some good things about these coins.

It's blind fanaticism that causes issues.

I mean we are only a crypto crash away from getting cheap video cards again.
This is how I got my Radeon HD 7850 for $100 back in 2014 and how I got my Vega 56 for $200 over a year ago. I also bought my nephew a Radeon RX 470 for $100 a couple of years ago as well. What goes up must come down. Go nuts guys, I don't mind picking up a RX 6800 for $200.

Yeah I havent seen anything recently that has made me want to do a upgrade.

Although, I did purchase Rebel Galaxy Outlaw over the Christmas sale on Steam, its pretty fun & reminds me a lot of Freelancer. Kind of hard though, sometimes, gotta be on your game as far as having your ship up to date. But it has Billiards and Dice Poker in it! And you can create your own custom soundtrack. I put the Guardians of the Galaxy sound track in it just for fun. :)

Right, I can't wait for Nvidia to overproduce Ampere, then get in on an Zotac Refurbished 3060 12GB for half the MSRP in late 2022!

That Pascal 1060 Amp Edition for $120 was seriously the best value I have ever gotten for a card sold direct!

I'm just pissed these fuckers also get power at 10c per kWh too! The video card I can live without, but cheap power to boot!? MFers!
