Cyberpunk 2077 for $26.69

"The game isn't 26 USD in Russia though it's 2000 rubles. While here in the USA we might be thinking they are paying a lot less for the game if you actually look at the average monthly incomes for Russia and the USA, Russians are actually paying a good bit more than us. 4.18% of their average monthly income compared to 1.62% for Americans (if both were bought in their country for full retail).

What is being done here is Americans are able to exploit currency conversion and economic prosperity to our financial gain.

So no the game isn't cheaper in Russia. It's actually more of an expense to them then it is for us buying it here in the USA for full retail.

To put this in perspective someone buying the game in Russia is paying the same if we had to pay 155.25 USD for a full priced game (based on the 60 dollar price point)" (taken from reddit)

_____________

Just an FYI for people who are interested in this, GOG can/might be able to remove the game from your account if they find out that you are playing a game in one region when bought in another region.

Edit: That may be incorrect, but I'd check the TOS just to be sure.
Exactly. People complaining that others in 2nd and 3rd world countries are paying 50% less while earning 200% more and have 200% more PPP on average. Get bent and pay your share.

I'm all about a good deal, but this seems like a lot of work and risk.

As far as not being 'right'. The developer will make the same as if a Russian bought it. I get the same kind of kickback when I buy russian ammunition. Even in the pandemic times I can get cheap ammo, although it does come through a USA distributor. They won't make less, because if your going through these lengths to get it for ~1/2 off, you wouldn't consider it for $60.... Personally I've still got Mafia III to finish, and then I might get it in the $30 range from Steam/ GOG or whatever when the time comes that I can

Couldn't resist. I followed Op's instructions including changing my GOG password and uninstalling the VPN.

I wouldn't have bought it for $60 .. so now they are actually making something off of me... o_O

This is the mentality that I think a lot of people fail to consider. Not everyone pays full price for games. Be it lack of interest, lack of time, or lack of money, there are many people who rarely to never part with $60 for a video game. Normally, that person probably exists a year or two behind the curve, picking up games when they get a substantial discount. If someone absolutely will not pay $60 for the game, then what difference does it make? They can use a VPN now and cheat the system. CDPR gets their $30 now, customer gets the game now. Else, customer waits two years for the game to be reduced to a price they can afford. CDPR still only gets $30, but has to wait two years to get it. If they know they are only getting $30 from that customer regardless, surely they're better off having it two years sooner.

Lets remember this is CDPR we're talking about. They just launched a massive game that broke several pre-order and day-one player records, and they did it totally devoid of DRM. Literally anyone that wants to play the game, money or not, can play it day one... it would have been on torrent sites instantaneously. CDPR obviously feels the positive image that comes from being DRM free is worth the potential loss of sales to piracy, just like they surely understand that not every pirated copy is a lost sale. To that end, they must also understand that not every customer who purchases the game for a discount via VPN is lost income.

If you can afford to, and are willing to pay $60 for the game, you should. If any dev deserves it, CDPR does. If you can't afford to spend $60 on the game, if you know that there is no circumstance in which CDPR is going to get that much money from you for it, then just buy the dang thing via VPN and get on with it. CDPR gets your money, you get your game. Life goes on.

^THIS - I'm a perfect example. What are my most recent purchases in the past 6 months? Titanfall, Titanfall 2, Metro 2033/Redux. Last Light, Exodus, SplinterCell Blacklist.

I would never pay $60 for a game because I don't know if I will ever even have enough free time to play it. So, CDPR benefits because they got my $26 now rather than later. Heck it may have been a lot less or I might not have purchased at all depending on when I got around to it and what the reviews are like. The reviews are not that great from what I hear.

Awesome in for 1. Only played for about 4 hours and so far it's meh.

A lot of you are against paying only $27 for this game but have you read the reviews or watched any clips of it on YouTube?

The game is not ready to be released with lots of bugs and is not optimized at all.

I'm not paying $60 for it OR $27, going to get it for $5 next year from greenmangaming or cdkeys.

I got all 3 witcher games that way and got hundreds of hours of playtime out of them, so I'm giving cdpr full price for this one. Don't plan on playing until several months from now when the game is in better shape.

Good luck. The lowest price TW3 has hit on Steam was $12, and that was four years after release. Surely it's been less than that on grey market sites, but there's no way it was $5 a year after release, anywhere. Further factor in that CP2077 is a larger, more anticipated release than TW3, and that it really wasn't ready in 2020 when it released. 2021 is when were going to get the finished game, loaded up on patches and free DLC. I expect it to continue to sell well through 2021 for all the people wanting to wait for a problem free experience. Late 2021 to 2022 is likely when we'll start hearing about things like expansion packs and multiplayer, both things that will help the game hold its value through 2022 and beyond.

Kudos if you score it that cheap, that soon, but come remind me if you do. I'll be shocked.

You'll have to use a third party program. Afterburner works just fine. I assume fpsmon, Fraps, Nvidia overlay, etc will all work also.
FRAPS hasn't been updated since 2013, it's basically dead, and I don't believe it supports DX12. But Afterburner works fine.

By the time this thing is patched up and working properly, this will likely be the price anyway.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you don't want to use the VPN mentioned and already have NordVPN. You an select Ukraine (no Russia option) and it's $29.99 at GOG

Is the PC version as bad as PS4? Apparently it was pulled from the Sony store 🤣
Not even close.

It's not without problems, but it's very playable. I've encountered nothing game breaking and am having a ton of fun.

On Ps4, it looks like crap, runs like crap, and is borderline unplayable.

I know I said I wasn't going to, but just snagged the game doing this. I had a lot of game time on computer due to holidays, so Finished Mafia III, then got Mafia II and finished it. Came down to this or Watchdogs Leigon, and I kinda want to see what my 1070/ R5 3600 will do with it

I did it just now. easy enough, now if I can get the email to change my password...getting all the other GOG emails but that.

I did this it was easy and no risk because it's GOG so literally the only game I have on that platform. I paid $27 I mean it's a deal period.

What I like about PC games is that you can keep your game library from the past 20 years and play those games at anytime. What I'm getting at boys is that I have a backlog of at least 20 other AAA games right now and will buy the GOTY CP2077 in a year or two when it's on sale for $7.

Completely understand but sometimes it's nice to be a part of the zeitgeist once in a while instead of always playing what was cool 2 years ago. This price made it acceptable. The bugs are many but it's fun.

Full playthrough twice, it only crashed on me twice during that time of probably 150+ hours.
However, there are a lot of immersion-breaking glitches, and persistent bugs that require a save/reload to fix. Most often some HUD alert will stay on the screen indefinitely or sprint/jump/scan/aim just stops working until you save then reload.

One of the funniest glitches (or likely a programing error) is the right turn lane in the 4-5 lane round-about in the center of the city. For some reason all the NPC drivers want to drive on the shoulder instead of in the lane, and will plow their car through almost anything in order to do it. Right in front of the Arasaka building is the best spot to watch, completely destroying their own cars on a line of concrete barriers and yelling at you like it's your fault the entire time while doing it.

One of the most annoying things that needs fixed is also traffic related, NPC drivers stopping in the middle of the road for no reason at all. You might say it's "realistic" but coming up on a single car stopped in the road while doing 180 on your bike, that really tests my keyboard driving skills. Still not sure why I get 1 or 2 stars when I pull them out of their cars and dispatch them execution style. They are far worse "people" than those 3 scavengers hanging out in an ally that I quick-hacked into committing suicide a few minutes prior.

There are so many glitches and little issues that need fixed, you kind-of get used to it. All I have to say is to manual save before each quest/gig, I have run into a few that had a bug during the gig that rendered it unable to be completed. My first playthrough has a Cyberpsycho gig that I can't complete because I didn't save and didn't try going back in auto-saves in time to re-do it.

How do some of you have 150-200 hours on this game already? The game has only been out for 5 weeks=840 hours. That's 1/4 of the day on one game. That's 24/4=6 hours a day, every single day since release, on one game.

How do you not get tired of playing just one game? That's almost a full time job in terms of time commitment, sheesh!

Don't get me wrong, not judging. But on ONE game? Ahhhh! I'd lose my mind of boredom.

Clearly, you’re not the furious nerd you think you are... but yeah, I can’t play that long either.

I don't get it either. I want to vomit when I see people with 2000+ hours on shitty games like skyrim and FO4
