Instead of the usual weekly giveaway, the Holiday Sale will see a new freebie every day until the end of the month—15 games in total...you've only got 24 hours to claim each game, and if you miss a day, you miss out...

games will be discounted by up to 75 percent during the sale...Sale begins on December 17th...

fantastic... I think the majority of games I got last year were ones I was interested in yet never bought

Don’t know if this true, found it on a message board. Take it with a grain of salt.

If I remember correctly from last year, most of the giveaways were games they had given away already. It was kind of a second chance in case you missed it deal.

  • December 23 – Ape Out
  • December 24 – Celeste
  • December 25 – Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS)
  • December 26 – Faster Than Light
  • December 27 – Hyper Light Drifter
  • December 28 – Shadow Tactics
  • December 29 – The Talos Principle
  • December 30 – Hello Neighbor

I'm not seeing that. Amazing list of games, but too generous. Hitman 2 was already free so I can see that. Not seeing Far Cry 5 or Assassins Creed Origins being free.

Well, we can find out if that list is true in just 6.5 hours from the time of my posting :)

That list is so fake lol someone just trying to get a reaction out of people.
If Dying light is Free today well then I guess the list is true.

The last going price was 12.00 for Borderlands 3 so that list could be real. Its posted on the internet in a few different forms.

Yea that list is bogus. Epic would be throwing away do much money for no real benefit giving out those games.

Cities Skyline LOL! Got me all excited about the Evil Within 2 for no reason. Online people are so so cruel.

Epic crashed before I could pick up the game I'm sure a sale is going on.
Think I'll use the 10.00 coupon on BL3 Season Pass 2.
Coupons stack you get another 10.00 coupon for anything over 14.99

To be fair that list was awfully optimistic. If half of those actually come up that would be cool.

Epic finally got me to sign up with the free Skylines offer. Ive been excited to try it (imma big SimCity nerd) but never got around to buying it.
Excited to see what the rest are, will probably end up trying some i hadn't expected to.

I like it. There's a learning curve. IMO it's better than simcity if you're more into the minutae of it all (ie: a little to a lot more micromanagement)...
and it does get better with certain dlc's but thats not unusual for any dlc game (I'm looking at Civ when I say that). Still the base should be entertaining to you or anyone that liked Simcity

I've played hundreds of hours of cities skylines, i really enjoy it even if things get a bit peculiar in the end game. There are a couple of mods that I consider absolutely mandatory, but I'm not sure how they'd function on the Epic store.

FYI if you claim a free game you get unlimited $10 off coupons on any game that costs $14.99 or more. So you can buy Cyberpunk for $49.99.

Had a lot of fun with Oddworld back in the Genesis days. Will have to try this (eventually).

ooh, Oddworld! New AND tasty? they know how to hit those nostalgia buttons. Added.

Aw I missed the first two games :( epic is generous, for sure... it must make business sense and help with their sales, yet I've never bought a game through egs yet (way too many games in my backlog to play through first)

Did you just type that in a notepad? lol
I'll take Alien Isolation and Metro 2033 and Inside please!

I copied that from another forum...I saw it a few days ago but wanted to wait and see if the first few games matched up...they did, so I'm sure that list is legit...the previous bogus list circulating online was obviously fake-- it had games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Assassin's Creed: Origins, Far Cry 5 etc

Very nice! I was just seriously thinking of buying Metro 2033 last night! Great timing

downloading The Long Dark now. Haven't heard of it one before, looks neat.
I already have 2033 but Alien Isolation and Night in the Woods have been on my interest list for awhile.

Yeah, was a good guess :D
Now I'm super curious how that leaked

It was based off a datamine (I believe), several of the games on the list don't have listings on EGS (or didn't have listings) and due to that and other info they surmised that this was going to be this years freebie list as it was a weird time to add those new listings to EGS in the middle of a sale
