There really isn't much to fuck up.They'll manage to fuck it.up.
2000, then a remake in 2010 on xbox, now this. which kinda seems like a sequel. theres a line about "if she found what shes been looking for"What year did the original come out?
2000 the only thing I remember is the red hair character.
What?! Perfect Dark before Goldeneye?!!!!
FAIL
Ill still play it...
I agree game play, functionality, weaponry and technically but overall Goldeneye's story was more fun Makes me want to pull out my N64 and play them both again. Loved using the Laptop gun as a turret against AI in the other play modes lol.Perfect dark was literally Goldeneye only better.

It was actually pretty good. I got it launch day with 5 other games and it was this one and Condemned I ended up playing most. I think it got overshadowed by COD2 and Quake 4 as "that other shooter". It was stupid and light-hearted, and the mechanics were quirky, but I enjoyed it.There was also a sequel on Xbox 360, as a launch title.
It started as a James Bond game, and when rare lost the license the pivoted the design to a near-future spy game.It wasn't Goldeneye because Goldeneye is a James Bond Game. Perfect Dark literally isn't a James Bond ip.

I want to believe, considering The Initiative is made up of all kinds of people with strong credentials across the industry. In this day and age, though, it is better to set your expectations low so as to experience indifference instead of disappointment when you see the final product. Such is the overall state of the gaming industry at present. They'll manage to fuck it.up.
I hear there's good stuff coming out of eastern Europe lately. Some small dev has been making RPGs that are getting better and better. They're supposed to be coming out with a new future oriented RPG shooter that looks amazing too!I want to believe, considering The Initiative is made up of all kinds of people with strong credentials across the industry. And the wonderful Laptop Gun. Loved the hell out of that thing. Please just give me a sniper rifle that shoots through walls again.
Perfect Dark on N64 was such an amazing game. The guns, the cheezy lines from the baddies, the fucking amazing soundtrack! And the wonderful Laptop Gun. Loved the hell out of that thing.

I don't have high hopes for this. Pretty much everything Microsoft makes nowadays converges on 'alright', never 'great' or 'fantastic'.
Just look what they did with Halo once Bungie left...
Or Banjo Kazooie
Or Forza Motorsport
Or gears of war
There has not been an increased focus on Horizon. Forza Motorsport has been overhauled for the next release, which is why the typical 2-year release cadence has been interrupted. Forza Horizon is still basically the same game as Forza Horizon 2 and not much has changed since then. Horizon is still developed separately by Playground Games while Motorsport is fully within Turn 10's purview.Forza started out amazing, but it's gone verry casual with Forza Horizon becoming more of the company's focus.
Gears of war 1-3 are quite amazing, and I wasted tons of grubs in GOW multiplayer on x360, but it's verry uninspired now.
Halo 2-reach are awesome, but to each their own.
