Cyberpunk 2077 Official Gameplay Trailer Released

Got an AMD CPU? Try this to improve your framerate in Cyberpunk 2077, helped mine quite a bit. https://old.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/kbrsta/psa_amd_cpu_you_can_double_your_fps/

Wow, that's pretty awesome! Saving that post so when I upgrade this spring I'll have it.

Don't know about you guys but the console versions look just like the trailer. Graphics so realistic.

Been trying to get CyberPunk 2077 to work on Linux and I came across a reddit post with a lot of angry Nvidia Linux users. Seems the reason Nvidia Linux users can't either run the game or run it for long is due to a missing extension called VK_VALVE_mutable_descriptor_type which was implemented about a month ago. Since AMD drivers are open source they already have the extension working so long as they have the latest Mesa Git like from Oibaf PPA.

Got CyberPunk 2077 working on my Linux Mint 20 machine running on a FX8350+RX480. Had to use Lutris and enable ACO. Performance is good at medium settings but obvious graphic glitches.

wonder how this would change benchmarking sites benchmarks?

This game looks amazing with all the settings turned all the way up. Even at 4k, some of the textures are so detailed and sharp that I feel like I'm not experiencing the full benefit of their fidelity. This is a game that would really benefit from 8k.

"🐦 Hey CD Projekt Red, I think you shipped the wrong config on PC. Here's a guide that shows you how to "unlock" Cyberpunk for possibly massive performance improvements." -- https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkg...cd_projekt_red_i_think_you_shipped_the_wrong/
I think this is a bigger performance bump than the amd cpu thing.
I’m running ultra/high settings across the board on a Radeon vii and it’s running super smooth. I can’t wait to test it in 4K when my monitor board comes back for repair.

^ shouldn't even be on those shitty consoles. I understand financially they didn't want to ignore that market, but the only version that matters for a masterpiece of this size and scope is PC. I don't feel that way about most titles, I like my console exclusives, but Cyberpunk is a defining PC title.

They painted themselves into a corner. Had they released PC now and console in six months, the kiddos would've raged exactly the same. Had they waited six months to release PC and console, everyone collectively would've raged.

Agreed. I've got it on the PS5 gonna try to get a refund. Crashes every hourish so far, and the graphics.....suck. Should have been nothing but next gen and PC.

I mean, on the bright side, at least this time it looks like consoles got a shitty pc port rather than PC getting a shitty console port.

Ehh... not too sure about that. The selection menu for your weapons is straight off of a console GUI. The way half the buttons are assigned to multiple functions despite half the keyboard not being used. Driving controls being designed for a joystick. There’s a lot out there that implies that the game was set up from the get go for console.

Yeah I'm not sure that indicates much of anything. The driving is just crap. Defaulting to interior view as opposed to third person makes it worse, and even in third person, the complete lack of camera management that leaves it entirely to the player is garbage.

I just remember the anticipation for deus ex 2 and the game we got that was completely gimped by it being an xbox title. A vast global conspiracy contained with in 20 maps the size of a small apartment. This definitely isn't that.

Settle down, dude, it was a joke. You said you hat it onPS5 and then that the game should've been released on next-gen consoles, and those two statements don't make sense together.

Dude there is no PS5 copy of the game. You are playing the PS4 copy on the PS5. There is no release date for the actual next gen copy.

I'm not playing it at all, so I didn't know that. I was just making a joke based on what I quoted.

Yikes, this is turning into a cluserfuck for CDPR. I don't blame the developers. I blame the greedy ass bosses & corporate shareholders who pushed it through just to make a buck before Christmas.

It wasn't finished.

I played 20 hours this weekend and ran into very few glitches. Everyone's experience is different but I am not seeing anything game breaking.
Like I posted in another thread.. I'm 21 hours in. Runs great on a 2070s in 1440p with dlss. Very minimal bugs. Having a blast.

The AMD bug doesn't make sense. Both consoles use AMD and not quite half, but gaining, of PC's use AMD.

I haven't ran into anything game breaking, but I definately wonder about the games optimization, even with RTX off its hard to get decent frames.

This is some bait and switch BS.

They knew full well exactly what they were and were not showing. Hell, the One X driving sequences which they did show-----were driving very slowly, in a strait line. Which was absolutely done to hide frame rate dips. They didn't show the base consoles, because the game running on those was an unshowable mess. They also made streamers and reviewers agree to not show any base console (and other versions) footage, until after release. Reviewers could not even talk about the base console version, until release. The PC version was the only version allowed for public review, before release. It was a concerted effort to hide from us the poor state of the game.

And they also know full well that most retailers/etailers would have to make a special case scenario to refund an opened and played game/downloaded and played game. In other words, most people won't be getting refunds. CDPR gets to keep your money, but say they tried to help you. Sony and MS have already been resisting refunds, based on their regular refund policy.

*also seeing reports of denials from physical stores, such as Target. Likely a YMMV based on management at each individual location.
