Who else is gonna try to get a 6900xt today?

Over 10 minutes from launch time and not a single online retailer has posted actual stock, only product pages...

Including AMD...

While that is true. Best buy also has a habit of not following the exact drop time. 3060ti was around an hour or little over after launch time.
 
Im still refreshing one of the Newegg cards every minute or so, hoping to snatch one quick via applepay.

Can't beat the bots. Newegg actually had some add to cart buttons that I hit but were out. They are gone in a flash. Will be up on ebay soon. This is the first year I have stopped trying too hard to get consoles, processors and GPUs. If I get lucky I get lucky but after the first day its whatever lol.

I didn't see any add to cart buttons and I was on two of the product pages the second they went live. Unless somehow the bots had a different way of purchasing the cards before the pages went live...

And why on Earth hasn't AMD posted any on their store?

I have never tried harder in my 20+ years of building computers to buy a general piece of new hardware around a launch window. I'd say I spend at least 2 hours a day scouring the internets for a new 3080 / 6800 xt class videocard, since the end of September. It's almost January and no dice, and honestly I don't see myself finding stock till q3 2021

its there just not in stock. I don't think it ever showed up. May be they are delaying the time a little so not everyone storms the site like lest time. I know best buy tends to do that. Even amazon did that for series x and I score mine 30 mins after pre orders opened lol.
 
AMD.com direct buy seems to have crashed and I had a 5900X in my cart and it wouldn't respond

Store is broken, tried to put a 5800x into cart and nothing happen
 
LoL yeah...I can't even get into the direct buy store...atm...was in it for a while..refreshing...now can't access at all....oh whelps.
 
Added 6800XT to cart at AMD, cart won't open, 6900XT won't add to cart. Cart now is empty, lol
 
Got a powercolor 6900XT in cart on newegg but couldn't checkout (on desktop). I saw it from the master link that I'm monitoring on my PC while im specifically refreshing the Sapphire card on my iphone for the applepay speed advantage.

Got a 5900X + 6900XT added to cart on AMD, but cannot checkout (on deskptop)

same here - they banned me from the site when I tried to check out with it

ALSO - the NEWEGG ADD TO CART links are bugged cause there's no stock but it's letting you add - don't drive yourself nuts over a bug - there's no stock there to buy.

They have 6800xt in stock too on AMD. Jus tshit is broke lol. Website can't handle the traffic.
 
Got all the way to pressing "Place Order" then refreshed too many times and have Access Denied now.
 
Had 6900XT in cart, cart would not open, decided to refresh page, access denied. What a waste of time. AMD "Hope you enjoyed your shopping today at AMD Store."
 
well I am done trying. Time for coffee.. Fuck the bots. They were in stock and this is the closest I got to buying one lol. I will try in January now haha.
 
So i started running tor browsers to try and keep shopping on amd.com - got a 6900xt into my cart and nothing but 503's on checkout
 
Can anyone be surprised? Sure Nvidia and AMD are having supply issues - but the bots and scalpers aren't helping at all. In store is the only way to go at this point. Or buying off of a friendly fellow [H] member who got lucky and scored multiple XYZ.

I'm done for the morning too. You'd figure they can AI the crap out of our data but they can't figure out how to make a shopping cart that can stop bots. Jeebus.
 
Nope, amd.it has em in stock but my bank does not like shipping to a friend's foreign address. I should have just given him 1200 Euro yesterday to buy, ohh well.

Pretty much my sentiments, had 6800 XT at one point and then a 6900 XT in cart -> Could never get beyond that point without server errors leading to eventual ban.

I tried card and paypal many many times and even got the circle of death for 10 seconds. And then the website shit itself. Try to refresh and BANNED...

sitting at the same screen - put paypal in 20 times, and all my different credit cards and it won't process past step 1 of 3 for checkout.

I actually got the paypal confirmation text via my phone number - but there's no order amd actually processed. Paypal isn't showing any transactions either.
 
amd website now actually just telling you everything is out of stock, and won't add to cart anymore - instead of putting you in payment purgatory for non-existent stock.
