The auto notify buttons were up when the cards were first listed on the site and then the button was taken down once the first batch was claimed for each card. I am signed up for the 3090 Hydro Copper and last night I received an email saying the Hydro Coppers were delayed. Jacob from EVGA states that they're making a change to the design, but its not related to the card or PCB - so that pretty much narrows it down to the block itself. No ETA now on these cards now unfortunately.
I would really like to get a 3080ti with the hydro block. At least I have a ps5 to keep me occupied with no pc..
I've been thoroughly enjoying my PS5; Demon's Souls has been a blast during this wait period for CyberPunk and just for hardware to arrive.
I'll probably end up buying CP77 for ps5 at this point.

I was in the step up program since early October for that card. I decided to sell the 2070 Super since I got the 3090 now. I am still signed up for notifications since early October as well on the 3090 FTW card so I could help someone out here if they want. (if that time ever comes).
Eh...the PS5 "upgrade" for the game isn't due until Spring I think. So the game might run a bit better on the PS5 framerate wise without the upgrade, but it'll likely look just like the Xbox One/PS4 versions until that upgrade is released. Already waited years for the game to release, if I'm going to experience it I want it to look as good as possible.
Might be spring by the time I get a new cpu and gpu lol.

Nobody. I tried reporting the first person's post that was a "discussion" instead of dealing with the topic of being "in stock" to mods, but my request fell on deaf ears. Now we have this abortion of a thread that has nothing to do with being in stock.
Nobody? I've scored 3x 3080s and 2x 3090s, each time I've posted to this thread when stock is available and I catch wind of it. I've also seen numerous posts with people saying they've scored a card if you go through the thread.
I almost find that hard to believe considering stock is only there for seconds when there is any. Even when you have bots alarming you of stocks, it's hard to get one.
Scalpers are industrious. Probably hiring people to get around the anti bot protection.

ApplePay on Newegg and Best Buy makes getting things easier (although not really needed for Best Buy anymore with their new system). I’ve said this about 5 times throughout the thread that if you have an iPhone you’re already ahead of much of the human competition.
ApplePay (and Amazon 1 click buy for that matter) makes it a 1 step checkout instead of going through multiple screens with normal checkout or even PayPal checkout. You click the ApplePay button, a pop-up appears already filled out with your payment and shipping information, you double tap the home button to confirm payment and you’re done. Takes 2-3 seconds. I also got a 5950X and 5900X the same way.
When I’m at home I have Distill running, when I’m not home I rely on Discord notifications.

My strategy of swinging by microcenter at 7:30-8:00 am on my way to the office to see if i want to wait in line hasnt been working great. i might have to increase my effort i guess.

There seem to be two types of people here: those that are getting weirdly angry that the process isn't being made easy for them and no one's spoonfeeding them, and those that recognize this for the only value a slow-rolling forum thread could realistically have right now, which is a jumping off point - a place to learn tips or clues.
Stock drops happen so fast you need a strobe light to seem them - things go in and out of stock in seconds. Thus the idea of a forum thread for the purpose of "in stock" sightings is disconnected from reality.

Yes? I said I post when stock has dropped so some users found out about the stock in this thread from my posts...that was the answer to the question.
Had people thank me for posting when stock dropped and a few also scored cards from me doing so as well. It was midway in the thread if you care enough to check.
I’ve been active in this thread and trying to help people since launch.
I have had numerous close calls due to this thread. Just because BB fucks up their cart isn't the fault of the people here. Ive been close which is much better than most...just not quite good enough.
Newegg restock in 25min at 4pm PST. Use the Newegg phone app + ideally Apple Pay for fastest checkout time. Only realistic shot is one of the Combo's. "But I don't want a combo I just want the card" - too bad, just pay the $15 return shipping to return the unwanted Memory/PSU/MB after you receive the GPU. You might get lucky and they ship the combo items separately, just refuse the unwanted combo item. Good luck.

I saw a few 3080 combos come up but one was for the white Gigabyte card which won't fit in my case and the other was for the EVGA FTW3 Ultra which is a bit too pricey for me.

Sorry I got two combos of these but ones going to my buddy =(I didnt see the evga ftw3 ultra which is what I am after
I pretty much F5'd the combos page and remembered my credit card security code and it went through quickly. Went back and it was still available for add to cart so was able to snag a second one. Wanted to grab one more for someone here but only the board was in stock.

Well, 3 days of learning the Apple Pay technique has netted me a Gigabyte RTX 3070. I almost had a 3080 but I fat fingered it. I'm not upset though as coming from a 5700XT, the 3070 will be a major uplift in performance and major reduction of noise.
Now I can bide my time until the 3080ti launches.
