Epic needs to update their client so that you can find previously installed games and load them, instead of moving or renaming the folder, start downloading the game, pause download, quit client, move data into the newly created folder, open up client, resume download and it will find the files and validate.
If you have more games, you have to repeat this process each time.
Ubisoft, Blizzard, Steam will find previously installed games with no issue.
I just did a fresh install with my 5800X the other day and had to load the games into the all of my game clients.

Thank you, taco sober.🍷<---NO!

Anyways, new problem. Cnt proceed. They out to get taco.
Tried reinstalling, but always getting stuck at this bloody spot. Either 2.8mb, or 3.6mb, alnd stuck!!View attachment 304165

They dot even retry! It's all a lie!😡

There was an Epic Fortnite event today. Some Marvel collaboration thing to save the planet. probably why you couldn't download for a while. Probably 10s of millions of people logged in to do the event, because there were millions on twitch and youtube watching streamers. Thank the bus driver.

Yeah that is the biggest problem you can relocate games to a different drive when you get a new MB or whatever you can rename the folder to something else or backup the games and copy paste and pray.
Once Epic does that it will be a nice client.

Yeah, the shocking thing is how bad Epic's client has been for so long. They aren't some small indie studio that has 1 person making the game engine, the client, the tools, and part timing as the marketing head. If their client was not junk, I think their attempts to exclusive away the market would be better received (just look at Steam vs where the competition was).

Either way, it put be off enough, to never want to use Epic again.
