Destiny 2

"Witherhoard has now been re-enabled."

Sweet. It's going to be interesting to see what they did. I hope it isn't nerfed too much.

As some of you may remember: I'm a big Ace of Spades fan and I love where that gun is at.

LOL no I'm not great at Crucible. I find it difficult to switch my brain from Titanfall/Apex (and even those are wildly different) to the style of play in Destiny.

Ace and Thorn are awesome in Crucible and I'm saying that as someone not terribly good at it.

Just make sure to use the Solo Survival playlist, not the normal one. Stay with your team and teamshot as much as you can. Biggest risk of death is being separated and picked off.

Today's legendary lost sector is arms and if you're a warlock, you want these. Only took two runs and if you have Anarchy, the boss is trivial. Pop two, hide and do that 3 times.

If you haven't played with Surge Eater and Thermal Overload from the artifact, they're incredible. Solar and Stasis grenades disrupt overload champions and if you get a successful overload, you get your grenade back instantly, its a great combo.

Its a poop roll but i'll settle for now.

I tried, but could not get past the first Overload Champion. He regened health so fast I could not out DPS him enough to overcome it. I ran out of ammo a couple times trying. I am 1235, but think I'm going to wait until I'm at least 1250, and probably watch some guides.

My first roll was 53. I managed to get a 62 after a few more runs.

15 under is going to mean it'll take a lot more to kill them, even if overloaded. However I really think the overload grenades with those two artifact mods is the play. If you go Stasis, you'll have unlimited duskfield grenades since you'll keep getting one back every time the champion staggers so you can keep throwing one. They'll stay overloaded the whole time you do damage.

Doing the Beyond Light campaign on two more characters is... oof... going to take some effort to power through. It's not difficult but I swear to God how many times do we have to ride a sparrow from Variks to the north area FFS.

I've done the campaign on all three now. The real grind is Elsie's campaign afterwards, to get your Artifacts. This game should change its name to Carpal Tunnel 2

Lots of new stuff now that the Raid has been completed (congrats to Luminous on Worlds First).
Lament Quest

And by extension, the Salvage the Past Triumph

Cloudstrike

If you complete the Raid:

Lastly, and unrelated, I ordered the new Exo Stranger statue. It arrived right before I left for work, so I will update with pics afterwards. I have to admit, if "Exo Stranger Tiddies" were an option in the Character Creation Screen, I'd probably have to delete a Guardian to remake. :ROFLMAO:
EDIT: HA! No more than did I make this comment, and one of the Dead Exo's I scanned today provided 'lore' for her unique appearance in comparison to other Exos.

After 16 hours and being heavily DPS checked at the final boss we had to call it quits. Post contest mode today though, we ran through just fine on all three characters. Probably could have got it done had we not already been in there for so long. Fatigue was a real problem.

What an experience and bravo bungie for another incredible raid. The visuals, the music, the environments, the mechanics and the look of the weapons and armor are just out of this world.

The second encounter was the biggest time sink for us, took us a long time to figure out 4th Horsemen for DPS but when it finally came together, I of course had the scanner buff when we went into space (I had never been the scanner in space) and had to call out which boss was glowing. I didn't know the callouts so i just ran to them franticaly and did it myself. I'm super glad I don't record my own mic in this.. That sense of accomplishment we all had was literally why we play Destiny.

*language warning, we we're excited*

Lament is 100% worth it. Another button to push to set up the combo and make it worth it boy is it ever.

There is a traversal section between encounters that was one of the best i've ever seen. Again, the visuals and the music... Perfect title.

Nice. I'll probably give it a go this weekend.

Any idea when trials will be back?

I have been thoroughly enjoying Beyond Light. I got super burned out on D2 last season, especially when it got extended....im on this slow grind until the reset. im 1224 base right now. Been doing more quest lines than grinding bounties. Lament was a great get and a whopper of a surprise when i found out the background story.....crazy...the writing from this game is phenomenal....its what keeps me playing the game.

You aren't kidding. It will be in a constant close rotation with the still stalwart Guillotine.

I see we can farm the 5 Europa specific Weapons from Variks now (he has a new page 2). Cost 50 Herealways each, but you can go after the weapon you want; only the rolls are rng. Got the new AR yesterday, got crap rolls, but it didn't take that long. May try the Sniper next.

Have to admit I'm enjoying the new story beats each week. Just wish they were delivered outside of a text more often. Finding out who Banshee was via text was a bit of a let down. That kind of lore drop deserved more imo.

The frequency of disconnected players in competitive is alarming. Numerous times I've had a team member or opposing player drop, many times before the match even begins. Yesterday I came into a match with one teammate and then he quickly dropped leaving me solo to suffer the hit to my KDA as I refuse to manually drop. This can make competitive quite frustrating especially when I'm trying to finish up my Unbroken title.

I don't see this in Varik's menu. Perhaps I missing some prerequisites? I would really like a good roll on Bonechiller for pvp.

I didn't think about it when I posted, but it's possible you have to unlock some of his Sabotage items. I have most of the Tier 1 items done, maybe half the Tier 2 and a third of T3. More than likely unlocking one of them opened it up for me.

EDIT: Looks like it was when I unlocked Europa Explorer 1

I sat and knocked out all the Sabotage stuff and yeah you get a second page at Variks, not sure which one added it. The weapon quests I think get cheaper than 50? Could be wrong.

Yes. Looks like when you unlock Europa Explorer 2 it goes down to 30, and I'll take a guess at level 3 probably being 15.

Someone was asking about getting Seventh Seraph weapons again to make warmind cells?

Wish granted.

https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/49874

  • Updated the World Engram weapons reward pool.
    • Remove all Legendary weapons that hit their Infusion Cap at the end of this Season.
    • Added all of the Seventh Seraph weapons from Season of the Worthy.
    • Added all of the Season of Arrivals Seasonal and planetary reprisal weapons.
    • Set weight drop chances so that the newer an item is, the more likely it is to drop.

Those sabotage are my least favorite item so far. So tedious. Really bored with the season pass and power leveling this season and I don't care to focus on either.

I did knock out the catalysts for the new exotics (pulse and shotgun). Got the new sword, which is insane.

I've cleared the raid multiple times this week. That section is absolutely fantastic. There is a triumph for collecting some lore objects along the way which yields an exotic Ghost shell. You will spend a lot of time taking in the sights doing that.

I have been sidetracked in the game. I guess I need to concentrate more on Sabotage and finishing that up at this point.

We're going to go for the pike triumph tonight, get all 6 pikes to the last heat bubble and I think you get an exotic sparrow.

Luckily there is a cheese and can be done much safer. If you park your sparrow or pike just outside the bubble then get on it while still inside the bubble, you can drive around all you want outside the bubbles and never die... unless you drive off a cliff or get shot.

Anyway, this is the song from the space traversal section, I love it.

Yes, I did this with three people. We just used the transmat to go back and bring the pike's forward. We got them all there safely using the cheese.
