Brace yourself for ray tracing in new games being AMD or Nvidia exclusive

This is a giant non-story. The feature is coming for NVIDIA cards in the near future.
The topic of the thread is how it's time exclusive, not whether or not the feature is coming for Nvidia GPUs. This makes your comment off topic and frankly unnecessary.
So, why did you make this thread if you aren't outraged you can't play and rtx on quake ii rtx right now even if there is a patch coming? I guess you don't see the hypocrisy.
This comment doesn't even make sense. This topic isn't about the 3 outliers of proprietary RTX, so please stop bringing them up and stay on topic.
I said: It's not like AMD is using a proprietary technology. That should be taken at face value anything other than that is on biases and reading into it what you want.
No, corporations shouldn't be taken at face value, especially when actions speak louder than their words ever will. And that action is having an AMD title having timed exclusivity on what should be a standard feature, or at least a feature they claim is standard.

Funny how that was mentioned neither in the thread title or your original post.

Also, if that's a problem, then why doesn't NVIDIA get the same flack for Cyberpunk not supporting ray tracing on AMD cards at launch? They're not even listed in the updated recommended specs for enabling ray tracing.

Recommended specs have nothing to do whether a game will not support a feature on another vendor. That should be obvious by the word "recommended".
