just trying to see where we stand. You can change your answer should it change.

The only 3000 series card I got, I bought from a member here. I have had ZERO luck purchasing one on my own through any website.

Edit: Even though I technically have one in hand, I voted tried and tried and tried because that's my actual experience in trying to buy one.

I actually have a 3090 FTW3 Ultra from launch day, 24 Sept, from EVGA.com (boy was that an oddessy), and I auto-notified for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra on EVGA.com before the queue system on the 17th of Sept 7:46 AM. Got that a little over a week ago now and sent it off to someone else (and before you hate, almost at cost, just 60 extra for my gas and time).

Ordered EVGA 3080 Black via Amazon LLC on 9/28, gave 10/15 delivery date. 10/15 came and went, updated to 10/25 delivery date. 10/25 came and went, now shows 11/17 delivery date.

Does anyone know if these new dates that Amazon gives are just automatic or are based on actual info from EVGA?

I got lucky and snagged an XC3 Ultra off of Amazon and then got a FTW3 Ultra from the EVGA notify/queue system.

Walked into a MC 2 hours after they opened today and was able to walk out with a 3070FE (11 am)

I wouldn't have wasted my time with Best Buy and their Customer support for 40 minutes this morning had I known, and went there at 8:30 instead

I acquired my 3090 FTW3 Ultra yesterday. Fortunately I decided to go for the auto notify on launch day, and the queue system notified me a couple days ago.

Still going for another, but not sure when I can get one (since the nvlink is located differently on that card than other cards), nor even know where to get a 30 series nvlink.

I bought one from a forum member here. However, in past few days have also managed to get a Zotac 3090 which I gave to my friend and an ASUS TUF 3080 for my upcoming AMD system just because I was trying if PayPal checkout actually works on NE. lol. Once it went through I didn’t cancel. Also the Zotac was supposed to be a joke as well as I had already gotten the FTW3 3080 which clocks like a mofo on crack.

No luck anywhere. Best Buy (had in cart, HTTP 503/504/408 errors on checkout until it dissapeared from cart). Newegg - nothing but "oops an error has happened try again later" - out of stock. Micro Center in Person - OOS.

0 luck.

Where's the "I got one, but I was "forced" to get it through ebay, non-retailer, scalper, back alley contact, etc." option? Or are we just going to pretend everyone at [H] is above that?

P.S. Afaik, these polls are anonymous? So not baiting, totally serious.

I don't really care where you get one, how you get one, or what morals you left behind to get one. More or less just trying to keep it simple, you were able to get one, you weren't able to get one, or you're in the middle of getting one. Same reason I don't have the evga queue as an option, because everyone trying to get one would be in the queue, but not necessarily going to get one or might get one from other means, so better to just keep them in the trying to get one still category.

And yes I made this poll anonymous.

That is a valid thing. There were shitloads of them online for all 3 releases...but they were priced with at least a 40% mark-up. That's the easiest way to buy one and anyone can do it, but it's just not the wisest or at least the most frugal option.

Ordered today via newegg with gigabyte bundle. just got tracking on the PSU, waiting on the graphics card.

I got in on that Aorus Xtreme lottery thing, so I chose "ordered but not shipped". Should be getting charged / shipped in the next week or so.

Didn't even see them on sale, except for scalper prices.

On to helping fellow Canuck [H] forum members, I have a EVGA 3090 XC3 for sale at cost + shipping (if not local). If no takers here then off it goes to the typical resell spots.

thanks for all of the results people. We are at 99 samples in just over 48 hours. Looks like more people have been trying and failing to get one than the people who managed to get one + get one shipped or on order. Was hoping we would see this change a bit more by the 3070 launch but it seems like it was delayed due to no supply rather than to stockpile. Anyway, good luck to everyone still in the fight, and remember to change your poll vote should it change so we can revisit this again to check the numbers. Hopefully we at least cross the 50% mark of people with cards in hand soon. We're [H] after all, we kind of need them.

i managed to get one up through beyond Processing and into Packaging at NewEgg via a Combo deal with a PSU. Gigabyte Vision 3090 + Gigabyte 850W Gold PSU

Apparently the FE 3070 was in stock for a good while (20 or so minutes) at Best Buy, but all the others sold out instantly.

I may wait and see. Hoping Nvidia counters with a price drop. I find it interesting the 6800XT is price $50 below the 3080, but the 6800 is $80 more than the 3070. Both have more VRAM and are apparently a bit faster (to be determined though). Doubtful given the supply issues and I assume demand is still going to be high. I am just hoping this triggers a mini pricing war.

I think they are in some way marketing the 6800 as a cheaper slower alternative to a 3080 rather than a more expensive faster than a 3070 card. It seems odd now, but if they have something in the works that is close to or slightly behind a 3070 that they can undercut a 3070 on price with, they can attack that price point from both sides.

Easy order from Newegg for the 3070.
No luck on the 3080, and no longer trying for one, but had been trying for the last month or so.

Ordered a 3080 from Ebuyer on launch day after their website was down most of the day, expected delivery end of Sept.
Not a word on progress since, they wont provide information other than fobbing off any enquiries.
They wont even fulfil part of the order they do have in stock!

I purely got lucky...was able to complete an online purchase for an MSI Ventus OC at Best Buy, then my order info immediately disappeared. After much back-and-forth with their customer service team (they couldn't even see my order history), they sent my case to their specialists, and my order reappeared and was shipped a while afterwards. So glad a took a screenshot of the order completion step, so I was able to have verifiable proof that everything was submitted properly and I even had an order number.

I like the look of that Gigabyte card. Very snazzy. I think my EVGA card is easily the ugliest of the bunch.
