What are you nerds playing this weekend?

How how have you been liking THPS 1+2?
Just played 1 so far. It's pretty good, as fun as I remember. Finishing the goals is difficult, but it's been a while so that doesn't surprise me. Some of the jumping/landing/collision is a bit glitchy, but so was the original–it's hard to get that perfect when there are so many things to interact with and you're moving pretty fast.

Oh, and the music is still perfect. 👍

Hades, everyone go play it!!

It’s from Supergiant Games the makers of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. (Which enough for me to purchase right there). But it’s pretty damn fun, has all their usual hallmarks (good music, isometric, beautiful 2.5D) and is a bit of a roguelike, but does have a godmode for people that just want to get the story. Also has a hard mode.

Mario Galaxy on the switch. Been trying to get into GTA V but so far it's 100% 'meh' Thankfully I got when Epic had it for free so at least no money's wasted

Did Horizon Zero Dawn. Was okay.

Doing Just Cause 4. Last time I played it, the game was one of the worst I've ever played. Now it is playable, but utterly boring. And it seems like the team behind it had no idea what Just Cause was supposed to be. The gameplay makes little sense. They give you all these vehicles, but few things to destroy and most missions involve you running up to a control panel to press a button a few times. Making vehicles pretty much useless.

Super Hang-on, on my new Super Retro Trio.

Managed to get this far on my second frame (upgraded to Double Cradle on the first sponsor), but that durn hay bale jumped out at me. lol

Didn't work in NTSC mode for some reason, but works (with occasional glitch) in PE (PAL Euro?) mode. Ed: Works in NTSC, too. Guess the switch was in between positions ootb...

Still on Mario Galaxy. Uninstalled GTAV on the laptop, just can't get into it.

Hoping to play some more Half Life Alyx. I have thought of playing through Uncharted 2, 3, or whatever again.

Just started RE2... The nostalgia that flows through my body is sometimes overwhelming... I'm like 30 mins in

Really liking it so far

Hup yup. I loved the old ones and this set is a welcome blast from the past. Kinda hoping they continue to milk this cash cow and redo them through the American Wasteland ones

Though I could have sworn there was a hidden spot on the warehouse level that required you to grind a rail that was up high through a window. Also said they removed the bathroom from the mall and the 'Drain The Vein' gap is gone

my abandonware has a few of the older titles as well. I'm going to double check to make sure theres no current puplisher claims on them and give a couple a try

I just finished The Last of Us (first one). I actually played through it almost 4 times to get all of the trophies besides the Online ones.

I first ran through it in Normal mode. Then I started a Grounded + playthrough. I realized to get all the trophies including all shiv doors, etc. I was not going to be able to do that on Grounded so I did a playthrough on Easy and then cleaned up some of the chapters for the jokes and optional conversations.

Then I went through and finished my Grounded + playthrough without worrying about doing anything besides finishing each chapter. Much frustration ensued, but I made it all the way through.

This weekend I'll start the Left Behind DLC.

Disco Elysium, again. There NEEDS to be more games like this. Makes me feel like I'm 16 again playing golden age isometrics, but remains modern at the same time.

Bonus that British Sea Power did the soundtrack -- something I learned well after my first play through.

Finally started digging into Horizon Zero Dawn. Game looks absolutely amazing and its pretty fun so far.

Pogo as always. Hit max level on that last weekA. Also started playing Twilight Princess for the GameCube

Halfway through 3 out of 10 season 1, then probably back to Sleeping Dogs for a while.

I played the most fun game of all time this weekend. Move furniture around so the floor guys, painters, and counter top people can all work on my house. Ugh... So, no fun games for me. The previous weekend I played a bit of Mario 64 and Control though.

Oh, I lied, my wife and I were at the neighbors house Saturday night, and my neighbor's wife and I played Tetris while drinking cocktails. So I guess I did play something this weekend. :D

Duck Hunt. Havit, but no light gun, and my lcd wouldn't work with it anyway. Definitely fun game.

Someone was developing some new light-guns a while back. I think I saw them on a SmokeMonster MiSTerFPGA video or something like that. Not sure if they ever surfaced or not, but combined with a MiSTer or other supported system it could be fun.

Division 1 Global Outbreak, the one with the cool headshot sound. I forgot it was even going on this week.

The Division 2 Manhunt objective Wraith. Chaps my hides that they D1 GE and D2 Manhunt during the same week. GRRR

I'm waiting for the PS5 to drop since 30FPS is a killer for me with the PS4 Pro. HZD is still staring at me asking me to play it though.

Horizon Zero Dawn. Making decent progress, but going slowly and collecting a bunch of upgrade materials and such.
I might give Baldur's Gate 3 a go, too. A least a toe dip to see what it's like.

I purchased a Japanese Dreamcast system going to test it out with my Japanese games. Once I verify it reads the discs fine I'm going to install the Gdemu on my US Dreamcast since the laser is crapping out on it give old Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Street Fighter III some playing time  o_O

I got the Baldur's Gate 3 alpha/beta/whatever its being called. Pretty good so far, but still some graphical glitches here and there. Also some spots that say (cut scene here) or similar markers for stuff that's not finished.

I think it will be good when they finish polishing it, but its not too bad as is right now.

trying to play BL3 but my pitbull does not like claptrap and tries to eat my monitor

I dont have a pro so I'm playing at 1080p. It still looks amazing scaled up to 4k on my 65" Samsung though.

Finished TLOS Left Behind on normal, then grounded, then got the last 2 trophies to get 'em all.

I am starting on the Uncharted series again. Remastered this time as I got the platinum on the first 3 when I had my PS3. I own, but never played Uncharted 4 so I'm working back through the story to catch back up before I start it.

I have been playing 7 days to die but am also interesting about starting iron harvest.

I have been going hard on American Truck Simulator. Its nice to throw on some music and just drive.
