Does the PNY 3090 have the good MLCC capacitors or is it all SP Caps like the Zotac and Gigabyte cards?
Haven't recieved it yet but looking like 5+1 or 4+2 from the posts. They arent boosting high so I dont see them being an issue yet. With how deep PNY is with system builders and Nvidia I doubt they would have their cards boosting that high.

Probably not. Unless you want a the fancy lights. The tuf comes with 6 mlcc caps also. None of the 3080 are really huge overclock 3rd either.
That’s where I’m at.
Asus TUF was already 11-13* cooler than Nvidia 3030 Founders edition. I wouldn’t think the Strix would have much more cooking headroom than that. I guess we’ll see since there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of reviews on Strix yet.

Well no stock appeared on Nvidia at 3am EST, though ironically looks like I got a notification just a few minutes before I woke for the 3am check lol. I have received 3-4 of these notifications throughout the day (where Add to Cart appears, generally for under a minute). Was out all day today but if they are trickling in stock, should hopefully at least try to catch some on Monday. Anyone have experience with those elusive <1 minute restocks on Nvidia? Like are you actually able to add to cart?
How did you get that many notifications? I've only gotten 1 on the release date. None since.

I think I have a higher chance of getting a top AMD Zen3 CPU around launch day than getting my pre-ordered Asus 3080 TUF OC come mid October. What a joke.

I hear ya. Not heard a peep since buying a 3090. Not expecting to until November tbh.

I operate on business purchasing rules, until shit is delivered you ain’t bought it, you’ve just prepaid.

Wonder how much money is sitting in the retailers accounts.

Trust me I was like this til I was able to order my card 13 days after it launched. My buddy got one launch day due to him having a local microcenter.

I have no clue when I’ll get my card, amazon still shows no date.

Welcome to the club! Grab a seat and enjoy your stay while we watch this terrible launch unfold and see what AMD may have up their sleeve.

I am not in a rush, although I have yet o see one in stock to even try and battle the bots to checkout.

Yeah, stock seems to be going down not up. I haven’t seem a damn thing. Maybe due to the crashing issues.

EVGA said they’re in the process of ramping up production now. Which means they probably waited until they had everything sorted out before going full steam ahead in production. I believe they indicated stock should be more abundant in October in the US and by the end of October in the EU.

Holy crap, an online retailer here in Denmark just informed that they have 810 orders just for the Asus RTX 3080 TUF OC. Yes, that is 810 orders for one single SKU. For one retailer in small potato Denmark. They got a shipment in yesterday, but I'm far down the queue. A long wait awaits!

Wow that's a lot. I have the same card on backorder from a Canadian shop but I didn't submit it until a day after they started taking online backorders. Plus they had in store backorders for a few days before that so I don't expect to get the card for a while.

I was hoping my launch day Amazon backorder for an MSI or my recent Best Buy backorder for EVGA would ship before then but with my luck they will all ship at the same time.

From what I can tell it's highly dependent on your settings. I'm only tracking the "Out of Stock" button with 5 second refresh. That button seems to randomly change to "Add to Cart" for a few seconds every few hours, most likely due to an error on the site rather than actual stock coming in. I turned off the monitor though because at this point it looks like I'm either waiting till October or doing EVGA's step-up program

Edit: Appears Nvidia's API is shot, which is probably why there are so many false positives

Same day, 27th. Mine showed the 11th as soon as I placed the order, weird.
Mine showed October 16th then switched to no delivery date. Guessing they probably ran out of stock in the first batch so I'll be part of the second batch whenever that is.

I ordered the same day from Amazon and mine is now scheduled for 8 October delivery. It originally said 16-18 October then it changed to 12 October and now it is 8 October.

Yup seems to be that some people's dates actively update while others sit on a further out date or just changes to no delivery date. I'm guessing the ones that are changing will be included in the first batch that Amazon receives. While the later dates are orders that will be included in the second batch that Amazon doesn't have an ETA on yet.

Yeah, by that time if you believe the rumours the new SKU's will come out and those will be out of stock instead, but given this info I'm not surprised mindfactory is not listing them yet. I was thinking of getting a 21:9 monitor, maybe I should get a freesync one and go AMD if they release on a more timely schedule in Europe, seems Nvidia does not want to sell us anything from the looks of it.

They (Proshop) state they have +800 pre-orders for both the non OC TUF and TUF OC...so that would be +1600 pre-orders for Asus TUF/Asus TUF OC...from one small retailer in DK.
They also informed that they had 65 pre-orders for Gigabytes 3080 and have fulfilled 51 of those orders.
They also inform that they have a shipments of 30 Asus STRIX 3090 OC incomming, but have so far only recived 15 of those due to "material shortage".

I have gotten 0 i mean 00000000 notifications from anyone. Bestbuy, amazon, nvidia you name it. So no stock is not really going up. may be it will catch up by November but so far either bots are too quick or eveyone is bullshitting. I think Evga Jacob needs to be quiet and not mention stock. I mean why do you need to brag Thousands of cards are coming and hype it and then no one is able to buy it lol. Talk about destroying expectations lol.

Same here nothing from newegg or Nvidia or nowinstock.

If you are relying on in-stock notification emails or nowinstock alerts then you’re going to be waiting a long time for a 3080. The in-stock notifications emails rarely ever are sent (in general, not only for 3080s) and nowinstock is garbage for the most part now. Gearinstock is a better alternative but still sub-par compared to other methods.

People that have been successful getting 3080/3090 orders without bots are signed up to discord servers with notifications or are using distill.io to check for them. I’ve already secured both a 3080 (2 technically) and 3090 using these methods and probably could’ve gotten 2-3 more over the past couple weeks if I wasn’t very picky about the ones I wanted. Obviously it’s still difficult to get one, but not impossible.

Not just now in stock. Zero notification from any websites directly.

That’s what I meant by the in-stock notification emails, the ones from the websites themselves. They rarely go out and when they do it’s way after the product has already been sold out. I only got 1 in-stock notification from Nvidia and I got it 15 minutes after the cards sold out.

Like I said, the only way to get a card for now is to join a discord that sends out in-stock notifications quickly or set-up your own notification system using distill.io or a similar program. You have all but 1-2 minutes (sometimes less) after a product goes up to place your order.

I’ve been successful with Amazon due to their 1 click buy option and Newegg since they accept ApplePay which is also 1 step. I got lucky with EVGA since I’m an Elite member and was able to get a 3090 FTW3 Ultra in (but I cancelled it after I realized their shitty website charged me 4 times).

At your note I opened up gearinstock and started clicking through a few of the links - even though they all showed out of stock.

Sam's Club had the PNY 3080 instock, but I don't know our sam's club online membership info - that my wife setup. I called her down to login real quick - she came to the PC immediately, and still when she got logged in it said out of stock. That must have been like 30 seconds tops - and GearinStock didn't even show it in stock, as it said out of stock when I clicked their link to the card.

I’ve basically narrowed down the websites I’m buying from to be Amazon and Newegg since they have 1 step purchasing options. Easiest way to combat bots. I also try on EVGA’s site when Jacob gives a heads up that stock will be on the site shortly. Gives me time to log into the website and whatnot. But it’s usually an hour of website crashes before they go out of stock. Very hard to place an order there.

I had much better success getting powerblock dumbbells (for personal use and F&F, not resale) during the height of the Covid lockdowns than this shitshow. Will just apply for the EVGA step-up, see what the costs/time end up being and how things look with Big Navi. Unless there is decent stock at BB soon and I can use my 10% off bday coupon.

I never got a notification from any of the companies having cards in stock. I lucked out on amazon and used the one click buy option. I posted a pic earlier of my order since a lot of people seem to think no one is able to order a card.
I haven’t used discord or nowinstock. I just randomly refresh amazon and got lucky that one time.

I do remember seeing it say October 11th when I placed the order on amazon but in my order history it doesn’t show a date yet. I’ve checked the email that’s on the account and the messages on the amazon account and nothing. As of now I’m without a gpu so hopefully it comes soon, I’m playing mlb on the ps4 for now

At this point I am getting to within a few days of buying an EVGA 2070 Super for my dad to start MS Flight Simulator 2020 on and getting in the queue for a Step-Up program board.

The last time I purchased a launch card was a 980 GTX and I don't recall there being supply issues in the way back.

I called evga to ask some questions about the step up program and they said there are thousands of people in queue already and it could take up to 3 months to get a 3080 thru the step up program.
