The bloke decided to no longer play, hitting the start button and nothing. Power off and on, RGB lights light as irritating as before, nothing. Reset bios, took out the bios battery several times, disconnected everything, took out video card, memory, played musical memory, took it out of the case, took out the CPU and put it back in => Nothing except RGB lights and CPU green light. Hitting the Start and other buttons on the board, it never starts the boot process, no QLED's no QCode either.

Probably time to retire the board, was hoping this would last until Zen 4. Plus I was inside the Ceth mountain in Crysis Remastered!!! grrrr and Started Mafia Definitive Edition (looks awesome!).

Not sure if I will just substitute a cheaper board like the ASUS Tuff or spend more money like on a Gigabyte X570 Master. Would like to use the four sticks of DDR4 8gb B die memory. Anyways this board was moved from one case to another to free up the case with 360mm radiator for the TR motherboard. Used temporally the AMD Wraith cooler, got a Noctura D15S and was putting it on. Had issue starting up when moved to the new case, fan would spin for about 1 sec and stop, no QLED and QCode was unlisted in the book. Took out two sticks of memory, battery, put the battery back in and it started, and ran several days on and off playing a few games. Now it is brick.

Not interested in any B550 boards, think they are in general over priced. The Master has the bios battery issue which not sure if resolved or not, other nice boards are more expensive. Any suggestions most appreciated.

Honing in on the MSI Unity, no RGB, has great VRMs and cooling of them, 3 m.2 slots, nice extras for bios flashing and resetting the bios. Just have to see anything is better out their. The MSI X570 Tomahawk would be great too except are way overpriced now and out of stock.

The Asus TUF is good for what it is.

X670 is right around the corner also, but likely with a high price.

Yep, just have not heard too much about X670. I think I will concentrate on finishing the TR build, getting it actually in a case and worry about if I need another motherboard/computer. I will just cannibalize the SSDs, memory, 3900x to other machines. Switch out the lower quality memory with the B-Die memory and so on. Oct 8 we will know more about Zen 3 and hopefully X670.

You won't hear jack shit about X670 until sometime next month. My guess is that it will be another VRM spec update and it will be a lower power solution that won't require active cooling. It should have a TDP more in line with B550 or other chipsets rather than X570, which had a 15w TDP. The chipset itself may feature a slight feature increase, but I wouldn't expect much out of it.

I look very much forward to your reviews on these. You sold me on the Unity except I can wait a little bit as well. Thanks

I'm REALLY happy with the Unity. Zero problems since build last November.

It definitely looks like a great board, I really like the MSI TRX40 Pro WiFi, bios, quality etc. So MSI is on top of my list.
