You guys SURE you want Evga cards?

Why they are making these weird red things on the side is beyond me. They should have gone back to the 1080 industrial style if they wanted something different, at least those were innovative.

I've not been a fan of any EVGA GPU's aside from the Kingpin Editions. Anytime the company deviates from the reference design in any way its hideous. They have terrible taste in aesthetics.

nope, not looking for evga.

have had multiple experiences with them, every single one bad. (980ti, gtx 580, gtx 1080) not just their cards but support as well.

Works out well for me because everyone is crazy about them, they can have em.

I was very much “ew gross”

luckily they all look the same naked:sneaky:

...with a Waterblock of course

For what it's worth - I have used 5 different EVGA NVIDIA cards and never had a bad experience. One of their Product Managers, Jacob Freeman, is active on Twitter and responds to just about any question you might, and they have great US-based support. I can get over the aesthetics because otherwise they're a great company to work with.

My last 3 GPUs (970, 1070, 2080) were EVGA and they've been problem-free. I'll get an EVGA or Asus 3080, this time.

If EVGA does a Kingpin card with a full waterblock rather than an AiO blower/radiator configuration I might get one.

Why settle for Hydrocopper when that sort of PCB is available, and why pay for the pump and radiator if those would just be stripped off for a waterblock.

I dont buy a video based on the looks. I but it for the quality and the warranty. All of which EVGA is top notch for.

Besides when I am playing games I dont look inside my PC laugh.

I have an Asus 3090 Tuf on order so I put my money where my mouth is. I have frequently bought evga in the past but I have a hard time understanding the “evga boners” some of you guys have.

If you have to RMA your 3090, or require any level of support at all, you will understand it.

That's really what it comes down to.

Funny enough, I’ve owned evga, MSI and Asus and the only cards I’ve ever had die are evga

I wish I could just buy the bare card. I have 3x 480mm radiators, I don't need an AIO setup but would like their customized PCB and power delivery.

I had a Galax 780 ti HOF card (their top of the line) it died within 2 years, my evga 980ti and 1080ti still kicking to this day. I would buy the FTW card in a heartbeat. Nothing a Dremel cant fix :)

I still want to see what EVGA has up their sleeve for getting rid of the red accents. I don’t think the accent piece itself is removable/replaceable and their proposed solution is a cover for it. Hopefully that cover holds tight and isn’t something that falls off easily or, worse yet, rattles.

But, it just looks so happy nestled in there....like a loyal dog sprouting a grin that's about to get a chezbrgr

Now for the record, I have had to RMA an Asus and MSI card and never had any issues. But, the ease of the RMA process from EVGA is second to none. I have been a customer for 15 years now and support has always been very very good.

I have the 3090 version of that card and it's ugly as sin. Luckily, in my case you can't even see the front of the card. For that matter, the 3 power plugs obscure most of the front 1/4 of that card.

So? They stand by their warranty. Can't say the same for ASUS. Read up on those losers...

Have to agree. My RMA experience with EVGA has always been "replacement on my doorstep the next day", no questions asked, come to think of it. ASUS on the other hand, it's more of a dice-roll where the "technicians" inspecting the returns seem to look for any excuse to deny a repair, like a cosmetic scratch here or there to call "customer damage".

Latest example, I had a ROG liquid CPU cooler and the pumped died. Several weeks after they received my defective unit, they email me saying repair denied due to "customer damage", and attach a photo with a red circle drawn around where some paint had been scratched off the radiator fins. And I was invited to pay full MSRP for a replacement unit, more than what a new retail boxed unit costs on Amazon. I've had a similar experience with trying to RMA ASUS motherboards that died -- some scratches somewhere = no repair on MB that stopped POST'ing. Yes, anecdotal, YMMV, but jesus christ.

Not KEEN on the look of the new FTW cards but EVGA has outstanding product warranty support. So If one of those becomes available, I'll snap it up but I'm not beating the Bots anytime soon unfortunately. :(

Odditory that’s HORRIBLE. You should post that on their Facebook page, their Twitter, etc. anyone that knows anything about PCs knows that’s not damage that would affect the pump. I bet they make it right when it makes them look bad publicly. Sad it might take that.
