Sub Channel Only Playback in Certain Videos

Guys, I have noticed that I get sub frequency (what audio is routed to the sub) only when playing back certain YouTube videos. I think I have seen this once on a video outside of YouTube as well. Most of the YouTube videos play back 2.1 channels fine, but on occasion, I run into some that do not. System is a Dell XPS8900 using its onboard soundcard hooked to a logitech 2.1 speaker system. If I unplug the 3.5" mini jack for the sub channel on the PC, the regular main channels come back (of course without the sub). If I play the video in a different browser than my default Edge Chromium, it plays fine. What is it about certain videos in Edge Chromium that would not play back the main channels information? Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

I assume the Logitech 2.1 system has a single connector (maybe a green 3.5mm male plug). Go to the Windows sound settings and configure the default speakers as stereo and set them to full-range. If there is any sound device software (Realtek, etc.), ensure the speakers are set to stereo and full-range and disable any bass management or bass redirection features. The Logitech speakers should manage any of the necessary frequency crossovers, so you'll want to send it full-range audio.

You may not always hear something in the sub if there's nothing that low in the audio mix, but sending full-range audio to those speakers should provide the best result.

Thanks, that seemed to do it. In windows sound, it was set on 5.1. I turned it back to stereo and made sure that full range was checked. Went back to a video that had playback issues and its normal now.
